I hope the new project they are starting can at least bring it back to somewhat of a resemblance to what it used to be. Fingers crossed.

Me too! Used to see thousands of birds trading around, rafted up, etc.

I was real lucky. Guy I went to State with used to invite me up in the early-mid 90's. That place was amazing. I had not been back until 2019. I was stunned at how much it had changed. @@Yellowlab247_Outdoors

Got some great memories from that place but it’s gone south the last dozen years or so. The “juice ain’t worth the squeeze”…

I had not hunted here in 10+ years so I was curious if it was really "that bad". Unfortunately so. 10 years ago even on a warm no wind day there were hundreds of birds flying around and we got some nice Widgeon, our swan and at least saw and worked birds. Oh well! Check that off the list

Was still more action than the majority of my hunts this season! I thought I was subscribed, but no!So +1, hopefully you’ll be at 3k by the end of the day!

Oh well if it was easy then it wouldn't be as fun. It was still a hunt and not a killing. Thanks for sharing as always.

Not gonna lie, that's what I expected after the video you posted for the night before maattamuskeet and afterwards. Seems to be the going thing there. Way to adapt with the I phone though. Good video

I have not hunted the lake since 2009 it was pretty good then. I have stopped applying for hunts there as its just not very good anymore. Not worth the drive from SENC.

Agreed! It had been about 10-12 years for us. When we were signing in, we looked at the totals for all the blinds for all year and you wouldn't believe the number skunks multiple blinds had for the entire year.. our blind had killed 2 birds the whole year. If we would have found our 2 wood ducks we would have double it lol

Go to my channel, search "water control structure" and also watch the "waterfowl management plan video. I show how I control water in both ponds and swamps. Thanks for watching!
