For question at 12:48: Couldn’t we have just done 8C6....here we are basically selecting 6 numbers from a set of {2,3,4,....9} (and thus creating a mapping for a strictly increasing function). The reason why I didn’t include 1 in the set is because f(ai) can only equal i only when 1 is chosen...

Sir in the second problem of this video where we have to select six no whose sequence is in increasing order 9C6 represents all the no which may be increasing or decreasing for ex:- if we select the no as :- 987654 I am confused sir Please clear my doubts

First of all digits will be different, right? So we first select 6 digits from 9 in 9C6 ways. Now from this six digits u can form 6! numbers. But we want digits in ascending order. So if we select 1, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9; we can form only one number 135789 in which digits are ascending order. We can’t take 987631 as digits are in descending order. So there is only one number if digits are increasing. U might have confused as probably have not mentioned that we are forming number in which a6 is at unit place
