For the second car park with angle which you did, one handy tip is to bring the car to an angle up till you can see the car front hood (standing in the slot right next to the one you want to park) in the rearview mirror on the driver's side. then reverse while keep looking at both rearview mirrors on left and right doors to secure safe parking.

Hello Dr. Rick. I’ve completed your course (needless to say, it’s been super helpful in improving my driving). I am still having trouble with 90 degree stall parking though, despite watching the video several times. And it’s really stressing me out. Somehow I always manage to do it when I’m with the instructor and not when I’m on my own. Test in two weeks. Can you please help!!
@EpicThe1124 жыл бұрын
Well explained Rick and this is useful Maryland since 2013-3014 and post February 2020 road test Nevada because they're going to require to park into these spaces. Also in Drive left countries United Kingdom and Australia since they test you for this routinely. For states that do parallel parking like New Jersey Pennsylvania and New York you don't get tested for this even though it's a required driving skill in everyday driving
@smartdrivetest4 жыл бұрын
Hi EpicThe112 - Thank you my friend. Yes, a required manoeuvre; however, it's always up to the discretion of the examiner. If s/he is in a grumpy mood, you could be required to do PP and the reverse stall park. All the best, Cheers Rick

Hello Rick I did not pass my driver's test today in Edmonton Alberta because my dad is always seriously getting on my nerves every time he taught me how to drive and the main reason I failed was because of obstructive driving. I took to long turning left at an intersection because I wasn't able to see oncoming traffic in my driving situation, just wanted to let you know all the other driving techniques helped me out allot and I was even a bit stressed out which caused me to speed up a bit but the examination did not notice, so keep up the good videos! Hi Rick, Thanks for your patience, time and effort in making these videos with the multidimensional camera views. Great concept and great assistance! Qns: 1) Is being on the left lane a conscious and significant choice for initiating both types of parking towards the left stall? 2) And, is it right to say, for the Perp-P, you start backing from 1.5 stalls past the desired stall whereas in the angled-, you start exactly in front of the desired stall to your left, then angle-right forward and then full left turn (1.5 steering turns) back? I tried the approaches from the driver's (right) lane while the parking lines/stalls were not aligned between one side and the opposite side, so ended up never right and ridiculed by partner for my geometry notes than developing the senses myself :( However, I really find your sketches useful! - Sowmya
