Smith system says 4 second following distance. Double that on rain or snow.

What about an intersection with 2 right turning lanes across from a single left turning lane. Both directions have green lights, no green arrows. All 3 lanes (the 2 right turning lanes and the opposite side of the street left turn lane) will turn onto a 2-lane road. My understanding is at a red light, when all 3 lights simultaneously turn green, the car turning left onto the 2-lane road cannot go first if there is a car turning right from the outside (leftmost) right turning lane opposite him. Make sense and agree?

Today I failed because i turn right on red I checked the traffic and everything was clear soni was taking right turn then instructor said its not allow to turn on red while on road test. There was not even sign of no turn on red but still he failed me Kindly help with this

Watching this before my second attempt for my drivers test. Since the time I failed I have been practicing shoulder checks a lot but only once. Now that I watched this video I will be embedding in my head to shoulder check twice always for turns and lane changes. Thank you hopefully I pass my test tmrw.

Is there any reference point to ensure that you are 2-3 feet away from the cone when you pull up?

The US got the worst drivers, it's too easy to get a license there is no proper driving education!

Where is this driving school?

I have been trying to pass the New York state drivers test for 25+ years & the best I have gotten so far is 62 points & I need 32 points to be able to pass. I have wanted to be able to get a job all my adult life but no employer hires someone who can not get to work. I am currently 43 years old & can not afford driving school without a job so I doubt I will ever get a drivers license unless I can pay off the instructor.

Thumbs up on this one. The information in the beginning of the video about space management and approach to traffic lights is spot on. I wish everyone used this technique. Traffic lights are horrible because everyone races to the light and it takes way too long to get going.

It’s frustrating because people don’t practice distance driving here in Michigan.
