As a tester of the Clutch delay release, It made clutch feel so much better and my clutch slave valve actually was broken inside so huge improvement with such easy install. 100/10 recommend

might need to look into the detent kit. honestly, not a fan of the shifter stop; couldn't get the right spacing for 1st or 2nd (at the same time). I like the feel w/o the stop but w/the positive shift kit bushings and firmer/stiffer trans mount.

We've been meaning to get around to an in-depth video on how to install and set up the shifter stop. As for the detents, we've had great feedback! Just read the instructions carefully as a couple people have over torqued them and had some issues.

Is it recommended doing a transmission fluid swap after this install?

Its not necessary for the install, only a little fluid comes out. Of course if you got 50K miles on the car and are down there already...might as well.

I ordered this for my sti and didn't realized that you have to remove you downpipe to access the 3 side detent bolts. it doesn't mention that on the instructions. at least with the stock downpipe you do.

What happens if you change the 3 easy one to get to and not the Allen key one that requires to remove the transmission cross member

that controls the centering while its in neutral. so it's best to install all of them to get the full affect.

The VB has, basically, the same transmission as the VA, TY75. On their website, they have a listing for the 15-24 WRXs.

for the shifter detent kit--what impact is there if I decide to only install the 4 smaller bolts and not the larger one at the top rear that requires the allen key? what exactly does the rear bolt contribute to the equation? thanks!

Tried to install this kit. Please be super careful with overtightening the new bolts. Perrin instructions said 81ftlb, but one of them snapped at an estimate of 30-40lbs. So i had to order a screw extractor kit to remove the broken bolt. Luckily the bolt came out without much effort, only removal device and hand needed. Which leads me to believe the bolt broke with a torque of less than 10 ftlbs. Long story short, the bolts are cheap metal and not worth the "upgrade". Perrin should have made detent springs instead, this would have been more reliable, plus kept stock appearance. Anyways I have three out of five installed without much difference of feel, so probably gonna take them out soon because its not worth the risk or headache. Better luck next time Perrin. In the future, please use better materials so your brand name doesnt go to $#1+ for one bad product.

We're terribly sorry to hear that this happened to you. The instructions mention a pretty light torque spec, and trying to torque these to 81 ft-lbs would certainly cause them to snap. We’ve had others get confused over ft-lbs vs in-lbs (which our instructions are in in-lbs) as well as use to long of a torque wrench. We have made changes to the instructions to make this more clear as well as using the correct type of torque wrench. We don’t want this happening to anyone and again we are very sorry. With that said is there anything we could do to clarify this in the instructions to insure this does not happen again? I understand you don't seem to want to keep them installed, however we have had great feedback on this product and believe you would too. If you're willing to give us a second chance, reach out to [e-mail] and we can get you the detents you need to finish the install or if you'd prefer a whole new set, we can accommodate that option as well.

@PERRINPerformance thank you for responding. I went over the instructions again, and confirm you were correct. I assumed it was ft-lbs and not in-lbs. In the future, BOLD or CAPITALS help reinforce important information with parentheses, italics. Again it was my fault for assuming the torque units was lbs, not what it actually showed which was inches. No refund needed. A simple acknowledgement was more than enough for me.
