Ferrari Kart Rotax DD2 motor break-in. Larger main jet and 3% premix. 44:13 best on Bridgestone ROK tires. Debut run on a track after a 3+ year build. Sorting a few issues and heat cycling brakes still- this was the 3rd run of the day and I ran it up 13,300 rpms Redline is 14K. Brakes feeling better each run but tires are terrible and track has marbles everywhere.
Note it takes me until the 5 min mark of the video to get the brakes, coolant temp and tire temps up to where the kart becomes predictable- before that it is too cold and twitchy. I lay down a few good hard laps and then slide off line pressing it harder so I shut it down. No grip line with me being the only kart laying down rubber- as well as the Bridgestones are crap- I put them on only for the photoshoot being that Vintage Ferrari F1's ran them. Very pleased with it's debut. Now to lower the main jet and lower premix to 2% for is next day out- waiting on K1 Curcuit to open in Winchester for a smooth fast track. I am 6'4" and 254lbs. Total weight is 444lbs- Yes I am a linebacker in a go-kart- and tall in the seat center of gravity wise.
