Based on Country Living article: “When they met in 1961, Bancroft was already an acclaimed dramatic actress-and intimidating to boot. Brooks spotted her while she was rehearsing a song-and-dance routine for The Perry Como Show. "A guy from way over, from the other side of the theater, said, 'Hey, Anne Bancroft. My father did many things in his life,a boxer,poem writer,great voice,but he could not play a guitar 🎸 so he would grab the old straw broom and strum it like a 🎸 guitar,and sing Italiano' songs to all 11 of us kids,yes a full blooded Dago he was..lol...Of course he cooked a lot,and yes all of us,grew up with Vino on the Table, Especially on Sundays!!!

I enjoy the video, but always am struck by Ms. Bancroft's pronunciation of Italian. She's a USA person whose voice and language aren't really Italian. It's clear in so many places, so many of her vowels. OTOH Mr. Como's pronunciation is that of someone who grew up in an Italian community.
