All the famous guitarists know him bro! ! I’ve watched him for over twenty years at floods in Detroit & Perry Hughes jr is the real deal, this video don’t even scratch the surface on his playing !

I am not trying make a definitive statement, but I think I am accurate. Perry Hughes is very fluid at transitioning between single note runs and chords. It is a bit like George Benson and Grant Green. There is a complete sound without the drums and keyboards and bass. Of course it is very good when he is playing with a band, and totally soling. I hear loads of bop.
