Despite her modest beginnings, when Persephone was just associated - through her mother - to spring and/or vegetation, she eventually emerged as a rather powerful goddess, due to her unintended association with Hades. There can be no life without death. A tree won't grow without decay to feed it. The Goddess of Spring knew that better than anyone. She knew her mother's smothering nature would smother mankind through unsustainable life. She was devoted to Hades and to mankind, her husband and her children.

Ooh, that's a tricky one. I think in terms of Greek mythology, perhaps Athena. It's always good to be considered 'wise' and we love that she's a patron goddess of a city as great as Athens. 🙂

Well, in some parte Persephone wasn't the goddess of spring, the goddess of spring was Eirene, one of the Horaes. Horaes was the daughthers of Zeus and Themis. Ovidio said in Methamorphosis was Zeus creates the seasons. In some roman arts the 4 Seasons are represented are sister and Persephone wasn't one of them
