That bag you found was my fiancé’s! Thanks so much for finding it and returning it :) He told me all about the situation and the entire bike tour when he got home, but didn’t take many pictures or videos. I’m so glad I got to see the journey through your video. Thank you for recording this adventure. It was fun to watch! :)

That is awesome! It was really nice to ride with him. I hope we will meet up again on future rides. The bike tour was hectic in terms of talking to everyone since we were constantly riding. I have a picture I want to give him. Please tell him to message me on the Meetup app or Instagram (Brompton Family Time).

Man I’m so happy to see your videos riding through the city. I live in a rural part of Texas, so I enjoy seeing your videos! I did rent a brompton for the weekend on a trip to Austin and got to ride in the city and loved it! I’m still hoping to buy a brompton one day. My dream is to buy a brompton, fly to nyc, ride it from the airport to do all my activities, and fly back. I’ve never been there so I’m learning a lot about the do’s and dont’s. So hopefully one day I can make my dream a reality.

Denmark and was delivered with an M type handlebar (And a long seat post of 600 mm (Scandinavian length?). I have an S type handlebar for testing (in carbon, as also an extra M, to reduce weight), if it feels right?). I have changed much - also to a standard length, titanium seat post (Bought from A.E. in China), to see if it may function for me, as a tall man of 184 cm? But then I may put it in my B&W German luggage box with out that much problems! 😁My bike weight is for now 9,35 kilo(With original Mudguards. Re flat tire: if you had filled the tire with Stan’s sealant, you likely would not have had to change the tube. Some Presta valves do NOT have removable cores which prevent the application of sealant.

Hi Twyla. Thank you for your comment. I have tried Slime in my tire with some success. It takes me about 15 minutes to change a flat so it isn't a big deal in the summer. I just don't enjoy it when it is raining or cold out. I like the Tubolito tubes since they are light weight.

Hi Chris. I wear the CitiBike Gotham Helmet made for them by Triple Eight in small size. Shoko is using a Thousand Helmet. It's more popular but costs twice as much. After seeing the helmet save her face from the ground, I do recommend a helmet that has a small brim for added protection.

Great ride thanks for sharing. BTW have you tried any of the stuff in tubes that repair punctures? When i went to fill up my trike tire it was thoroughly dead. I rotated wheel slowly and then fast. Then tried again and tire has been solid for 2 weeks. BTW how many riders i did not see that mentioned, and what was temp at finish?
@BromptonFamilyTime

I have used slime for a few years but it only worked half the time and made the wheel heavy. I believe there were over 55 Brompton riders that signed up for the group ride. It was exciting to see so many. I believe the temp was around 60-65 when we finished.

Well done. You’ve inspired us to come from Australia to the 2024 ride with our Bromptons! Question: would you do the ride again? It was really kind and considerate of you to help that guy retrieve his lost bag. I have the same bag (liberty range - bright colours) lost it with both my work bank phone, $100 note, credit cards, drivers licence, and my personal phone in there. But how lucky I had my Bose earphone sunglasses bluetoothed to one of my phones. It was only when the sunnies said “phone disconnected” that I realised. I rode back to where I thought it fell off. Sunnies said: “phone connected”. I knocked on the front door of the house and it was there! How lucky I had the Bose connected! Morale to the story: zip tie the bag to the handle bars/bike seat as those Velcro straps on the bag are useless. There is a magnet in the back of bag which is to to magnetise to the steering column but again, not strong. It defeats the purpose of having a handy bag to disconnect easily from your handlebars, but better than losing it altogether. Again really nice of you to chase him down. You obviously have good character and your mum taught you well 😝🤣 Thanks again for the video. I have subscribed and look forward to kore adventures. Cheers PS Last time we were in NY we walked everywhere. So didn’t realise the roads were that bad!! Wow….thanks for highlight it….. although not through having to crash to show us the state of them 🥲

Really nice video, very interesting to see the route and the people. And not all cyclists are Brompton fanatics. But ... too short clips, way to much clipping, miss some slightly longer sections. And way to much text all over, in particular the larger texts one after another - too large and in the middle. More "image", less distractions.

Hi. I am doing all editing and sad to know you did not like it. 😢 Took me so many hours to cut and put captions but now I know some people like longer and raw clips. Maybe in the future we will try doing it. "Less edit". That is much less work for us, too. 👩🏻Shoko

Some of the road conditions are really not that great and not too safe for the riders.

It would be nice if they paved the road in some parts before the race. Overall it was okay as long as you were careful.
