This is awesome. Thanks for sharing! I’m interested in checking out more of this music. Could you please let me know some classic recordings to hear the percussion in this style?

Thanks so much for the comment. I learned a lot in the past few years playing in the Persian music market so when I had some time during the lockdown I decided to do some instructional videos... Here are a couple of popular traditional Persian songs featuring some of the beats I detailed and there is ample percussion in both clips. I am playing drums in the 2nd clip... kzbin.info/www/bejne/kIHaopuAbad5hK8 kzbin.info/www/bejne/h4O6aXWNpdJ_rsU

Yours is good enough but still I can hear that western feel in it and that comes from the way you arrange your Contretemps. To understand true persian 6/8 listen to this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q17YeaSwprd2i7c

I've been playing Persian 6/8 for 25 years, I think I understand it. Yes of course I do have a western feel, I am from the west and played western music for years before I discovered Persian Music. I imagine this feel adds to the uniqueness of my swing in this genre.
