Persian Macaroni | Iranian Style Spaghetti | POTATO TAHDIG

Pasta is definitely Italian, but Iranians definitely put their own spin on 'Persianizing' pasta. The Persian Macaroni is a twist on Pasta Bolognese however it incorporates the Persian rice parboiling method and the popular tahdig !
Here is my version. Feel free to add veggies. You can also make it meat free with mushrooms and more veggies.
~ Ingredients ~
1 large onion
1 tsp salt
1 tsp lemon pepper
1 tsp turmeric
2-3 cloves garlic
1-1.5 lb ground beef
1 lb spaghetti (450 g)
2 tbsp oil
1/4 cup water

this is a little different than how my mom makes it, your using too much oil and we mix the sauce and pasta not do it in layers like that. but i love the potato tadig nice dish!

i would half the amount of oil. I like the way the noodles are fried and crunchy. Hmm, fried semi crunchy spaghetti noodles.. I can make a dish on that concept.
