Learn Persian with Majid
Lesson 6 on my video series for learning Persian (Farsi) as a beginner is a Persian grammar lesson on how to make a plural in Farsi. Please watch the video to the end, because each video in the series is a must-watch for the next episode. I always use the vocabulary and grammar that we have already watched in the last lessons. In this lesson, you will learn how to make nouns plural in Persian with examples from lesson 5 and extra new examples to help you master the rule, and also facilitate your sentence-making skill. So, let's learn Persian with this grammar lesson.

Salam Majid agha. I think when you refer to plural with adjectives, you are meaning plural with pronouns. I was confused until I realized you meant pronouns and not adjectives. Pedar for example is not an adjective, it is a noun. But the conjugation is different because it is with a pronoun and not a regular noun (like doors of the room). Thank you.

Very good and informative lesson. Thank you. But... there is a mistake in the line: Your friends are at school. The verb is written as است which means "is" not "are". I would like to see it written in Persian, because in Arabic we connect ه with what follows so if it was Arabic it would look like this: هند I am not sure how it looks like in Persian. I guess it is not connecting with what follows, so it would be something like this: مدرسه اند but I am not sure. Would you be so kind as to clarify it. Thank you in advance.
@PersianLearning
@PersianLearning 3 жыл бұрын
Oops as you said the persian sentence I forgot to change it to plural, but for the finglish one it is correct. Here you are bothe singular and plural: You friend is at school: دوستت مدرسه است Your friends are at school: دوستات مدرسه اند.

is there a list of verbs you put after the noun in plural. For instance after "khub" you add "an" for plural possesive when it's "budan". How would you for instance say "his friends are running" or his friends are eating"? is there a rule or is it irregular?

What is usage for (h) in plural form? Is it some sort of not necessary to write letters? Just curious, you gave us two forms for plurals - shall I suppose it as both approvable, or this "h" has some crucial meaning in some words? Thank you in advance. Btw, i just tried to romanize Rumi's quote, can you check for errors, please? با من ترش است روی یار قدری شیرینتر از این ترش ندیدم شکری بیزار شود شکر زشیرینی خویش گر زان شکر ترش بیاید خبری Ba man torsh ast ruyar quedari Shiribetore Az In teresh nedidam shekrami Bizare shud shekr zeshirini khavish Ger zan shekr teresh bilid khebri
