Yup, but the scene makes zero sense. Kid is acting like he *is* samaritan when they are both just there to relay messages. They aren't brainwashed or "avatars". He's a pretty good actor for a kid, but whoever directed this scene screwed up. The malevolent venom in the kid's attitude, demeanor and voice should not exist if he's just repeating what samaritan is telling him to say.

​@@edenarchive4150 My take is that he is a brain-washed child who is institutionalized by the Samaritan team. He really believes in Samaritan and has a personal connection with it. He really wants to convey Samaritan's message to the Machine.

I always felt that way, Root is just an interface, but the kid is partly Samaritan. Which makes no sense. But then, he probably has a chip and it might change him greatly

I would like to address great story they made, when they decided to not fall into classic AI/robots evil that will kill all humans or something similar. In way, both AIs are good, but they have different beliefs. One wants to help humans simply and let them life their lives and other wants to save them by taking control and fixing world problems. We can't say for sure, which of them is right for sure. We, as humans wants to have freedom and naturally are on side of Machine, but Samaritan has great point in long terms and he could be best for humanity. This is one of reason, why I love the end. Copy of machine, that just eaten copy of SamaritanSamaritan, and is waiting for orders, when message from machine starts. This new machine has no mission, no restrictions, it has just what she learned from previous AIs and decide to contact last active member of team Machine. It shows her choice, to continue with numbers, but let's chance for change, if needed.

@@solidsnakemgs2180 when finch refused to kill the senator and thus guarantees samaritan being online, root went on a mission on her own. She installed 7 servers into samaritan and those 7 servers make it so that samaritan isnt able to recognize them for who they really are. I believe its the final episode of season 3

First time watcher here, I absolutely adore the fact that The two AI chose avatars that best reflects their personalities and status. Root: an older woman with experience and knowledge of humanity. Perfect for this because the machine is the older AI. The Boy: An almost newborn child, yet far colder and more vindictive because he only sees the zeroes and ones. This really did feel like a conversation between two deities.

like Harold said, any exploit is a total exploit. anything they can do like this would have been a direct access to both AIs, and would have left traces of their conversation online for the rest of the world to see, and seeing them in real life means they need to activate human agents meaning no matter how they do it both AIs learn something about the other.

İ guess both of them is wrong. Worlds is not belong to humans only. Child need to show he is not God. He say wrong believes and wars that true. But he do same thing. Woman wromg too because not only human lives in worlds or matter. Finally need another solicitions better one for good
