@LeonGun8 Your wrong, the Shadow Selves in Persona 2 ARE their true selves. They just happen to have free will unlike the ones in Persona 4 as they were compressed inside for a long time, thus with free will, they are able to summon their Reverse Personas instead of turning into the characters' Personas as the originals already have theirs, also to know that the characters (besides Maya and Tatsuya depending on his choices) are more willing to accept their Shadows unlike the ones in 4 as the former have each other and the latter being weak-minded as they have just knew each other.

P2 EP is a world having been reset at the end of P2 IS because of the death of Maya. If somehow you fail to "reset" the world, P2 EP wouldn't happen, thus there would be no P3, P4 and P5

***** Silent protagonists belong in WRPGs like Skyrim where you have full control over them, but Persona is NOT a WPRG, is a JRPG, a story-driven game, and in JRPGs you have no control over the story and I can't care for a mute, I just can't! emember that the protagonist is not us, it's his ACTIONS that are ours, but not the motivations! They're not palyer avatars, they're CHARACTERS and they need to be developed! And dont' get me started on those siletn protagonsits like Lucas from Mother 3, Maya from Persona 2 and Felix from Golden Sun, which are introduced as talking characters, until you actually play as them, then they're muted just for the sake of being self-inserts, which they aren't because they're estabilished characters! In a Persona fanfiction I'm writing the protagonist Hazan Kurosu is not silent and all the other Persona protagonists have speaking roles too (Samuel Kitagawa, the Boy with Earring from persona 1 that once was a Kurdish child soldier alongside his cousin Yusuke, Tatsuya Suou from persona 2, the Italian criminal Minato Arisato, protagonist of Persona 3, Yu Narukami from Persona 4, now the CEO of Nirvana Zaibatsu, and Akira Kurusu from Persona 5, whose nickname changed from Joker to Solid Snake)and a character named Albedo (real name: Mitsuo Kubo) clearly refers to him as the "talking protagonist" and a "being outside the control of Atlus" (he becomes silent when his body is taken over by the US Marine Flynn McDohl, whom Hazan is a clone of, but he gets his voice back after some chapters).

There will also be an antagonist personally related to the protagonist's past. Death by leader defeat will also be removed (in P4 if Yu dies you die! INCREDIBLY LAME PUN BUT THAT DOESN'T CHANGE THE FACT THAT IT'S VERY ANNOYING TO GET A GAME OVER EVEN IF YOSUKE IS STILL ALIVE!) and probably every chapter will have a different lead until a certain point where the lead becomes the nerd I've mentioned before.

I want to like thisgame, however it freezes near the beginning, when Eikichi summons Rhadamanthus for the ifrst time. How can I prevent this game from freezing and play it? Remember that I'm using WiiSX Beta 2 and both IS and EP freeze in the scenes where the protagonists summon their Personas.

like i said it's all a matter of taste and preference. you can't tell the tone of japanese so you go with the dub when possible, others may choose the original voices because they can. watch enough undubbed anime and one might have a good idea of the tone. judging your argument however seems to imply it's not something you're used to, but that is fine. I suppose. Honestly when I listen to a Japanese voice clip, I can't exactly tell the tone of it or what the person's mood is i.e. is the person who's yelling happy or scared? One has to understand what they're saying. I guess that's where the undub part comes in but it's still only half the story. In my eyes to fully understand a story one needs to watch and listen to it in their native language, and that's where the confusion was coming from.

it's all a matter of taste sometimes one prefers the sound of Japanese voices, especial if it has one of there favorite VAs. honestly most fans of Japanese games and culture prefer Japanese voices in game. Maybe they don't like how their voice and attitude is portrayed in English, so they go with the original tone in the Japanese version. Me personally however, does enjoy the dubs for 3+4. it's all a matter of taste. it's the differences about us that make the world go round!

Am I the only one who can't stand the old American localization of the spell names? Maralagidyne just looks a lot better than Maha-Agidhain. PSP Innocent Sin undub is great, though. Patches in the Japanese voices you use with the cleaned-up battle menus and such.

They aren't your real Shadow Selves, they are fakes made to taunt your characters and throw them off their guard. They explore this concept again in P4 Arena and point out the impossibility of a real Shadow being able to use a Persona, or you being able to use the Persona (a Shadow and a Persona are flip sides of the same coin).
