no it's part of the major differences between Portable and FES, the trade off is entire second route from a slightly different perspective and infinitely better battle mechanics but no 3d outside Tartarus or animated scenes in Portable, or a 30 hour bullshit difficulty epilogue with 3d outside Tartarus and animated scenes but inferior but not unusable battle mechanics, hilarious thing is my first playthru I got far into FES then got away from my ps3 the bought Portable and beat it while only doing things you could do in FES.
