The game isn’t necessarily easier especially on the harder modes you can literally get one shot by Emperor Arcana Sweep and Sunder because he’s faster than your entire team on Hard and Merciless if you knock his health down to trigger that arcana…and since he loses his debuffs every time he switches if you don’t have your defense up it hurts…a lot with the higher chance to crit. The biggest difference I think is that most people, even new players, have heard of how this battle sometimes took people 8 hours+ in the OG game and they’re prepared and overleveled for the fight which makes it significantly easier. People just have learned how to deal with the fight from previous experience, but if you go in without leveling up past Nyx, play on a higher difficulty or both it feels pretty similar to the OG even now that you can directly control your party members…
