Persona 3 Reload - Reaper Boss Fight (Solo / Max Level / Merciless)

Currently using this max level setup for Elizabeth fight and curious how it fares against a Reaper.
At this threshold it's pretty much a breeze, especially if you can negate Reaper's Heat Riser / Debilitate combo.

Elizabeth defeated!! But at what cost.. The fight is rather boring since i'm playing it too safe so i decided not to upload it, but if curious, you can check out other channels that have already uploaded them just recently, including Dims. I'll probably do a rematch some other time and see if i can beat her in around 10 mins before she can cast diarahan and force you to go through a new phase with random rotation, if lucky that'll be a much more satisfying outcome and an interesting video to share i think.

Man, you crushed that reaper. Here I was wasting entire turns rezzing my teammates when the best play was to just ignore them altogether and cut them from the team. I would still like to do a duo run with Aigis /MC vs reaper. After watching this vid I have a lot of adjustments to make. I didn't realize charge/concentrate were so important. I brute forced reaper with Aigis/MC using raw phys damage every turn with Ken Yukari for support. This turned into an entire fight over rezzing ken and Yukari every round because any aoe 1 shots yukari -___- but hey shoutout to buffed Aigis with orgia mode. She's shelling out monsterous 800 dmg per turn without crits. My whole party is around 70-80 range at this point

Well, in P5 you could just spam Myriad Thruts or Hassou Tobi, the closest thing to difficult in this fight in 5 is not using any late game personas since they are all OP, so I think any minimally fair fight should be harder than the Reaper from P5

Since some people asking about the E fight, yes it's in the game, i already mentioned it in the description. This setup that i'm using is specifically to prepare for the fight which i dedicate for this whole playthrough. It's more suited for 1v1.

Whats the best way to do persona builds like the ones you have? I remember in P5 things being easy bc you were able to create skill cards from personas and there was also a fusion calculator. Was it just trial and error to get the personas you want with the inherited abilities?

Yeah just trial and error when doing fusion, pick which skills you want to carry over. I'm also using a lot of spare skill cards, for the higher tier always duplicate them from inari shrine.

It's the new ambush mechanic, you can gain an advantage by attacking enemies even from the front, but your character needs to sprint until the blue streaks appear. You can unlock this mechanic by buying that PC software from the shady guy at club escapade, it's the one with the security name on it. He will sell you more of these PC software that can further enhance the ambush effect.

There's a guy in the club that sells gems which can be exchanged at the antique shop for skill cards, recovery items and stat boost incense cards. Those gems are pretty expensive so you want to basically farm the reaper for XP and the guaranteed bloody button he drops also goes for alot of money. But before facing the reaper I like to farm all the trashmobs and try to get arcana bursts to level up the cards for shuffle bonus which net even more money and exp once you got the burst going. If you need a visual of what I'm talking about there are plenty of reaper farming guide videos so just follow one of those. Make sure to max out the Star Arcana, otherwise you will be locked out of obtaining Helel which is 1/2 the requirement for the Armageddon Theurgy for one shot instakilling the reaper. Orpheus Telos with Victory Cry also helps immensely.

Nothing fancy like that for the fusion, it's pretty much like the old game but simplified. So other than the special fusion that still required a lot of personas, the regular fusion is only for normal spread (they removed the triangle).

@@nakizebrown1228 You mean when he's running? Yeah it's the new Ambush mechanic. You get those blue streaks after gaining some momentum while your character starts sprinting. Attacking while running like this will let you perform that leaping sword slash and then you basically can get "S.E.E.S. advantage" even when attacking shadows from the front.

I like to do solo run cause you get 3 - 4x more exp that way, but doing so is pretty risky cause you won't get support from party members when getting ailments. You can be immune to any ailments by equipping Amritite Necklace. After that just build a persona that can support your solo run, for me i like to use Siegfried cause he's pretty nasty when it comes to physical build (immune to slash and resist strike). Best place to farm with Siegfried is on the upper floors of Harabah. You just need to focus on getting to level 88 and then fuse Helel and Satan to get Armageddon fusion spell, that way you can just farm Reaper to get easy 300 - 600k exp from each battle, you get max level instantly and all of your party can catch up too. But to fuse Helel you do need to max out Hayase's social link.

I haven't lol, been stuck for days and i need some enlightenment. The fight is a lot trickier than the original and your window to beat her is getting much smaller, gonna try a different approach today. I don't have Orpheus Telos, but i find Lucifer with Inferno / Atropos with Thunder Reign / or Siegfried with Brave Blade / Scarlet Havoc to be quite viable (especially physical since the crit dmg can go as high as 3,8k). There is no Infinity anymore, but Masakado won't one-shot you like in the original, it still hurts a lot tho.

As far as I'm aware the tier 4 AOE skills are exclusive to the dlc personas or atleast the ones that they have are exclusive to them maybe there are other tier 4 AOE skills with different names and animations but the dlc ones are exclusively theirs (wild thunder, blazing hell, vacuum wave, ice age, cosmic flare) not sure if one-shot kill is also exclusive, but the loki and sanderilon skills are definitely exclusive (rebelion blade, masquerade)

@@evzxk9267 Finally someone noticed lol, yeah i didn't even realize at first that my Atropos have thunder reign too, i was browsing my registered personas to see a suitable pick to counter Metatron and Alice phase in Elizabeth boss fight (cause Atropos resist light and dark magic). I guess at some point i fuse Atropos with other persona that have the skill and pass it on. But for me i like to just pass on high-tier skills and sometimes do a re-fusion to have better personas than the one registered. I recommend checking for some guides online since the game has already been released, mainly for the fusion calculator, i think that'll help you a lot.

I only built it specifically to prepare for the secret boss, which is also why some of the personas that i'm using only act as buffer/debuffer.

You can't have personas or accessories that can null / block / repel her damage (resist is ok), otherwise she'll just cast megidolaon. But at some point, she will cast that magic again so you need a persona that has either Enduring Soul or Endure to tank the damage.

@@sae-breezy7206 Depends, if you already have a line-up of personas that you have in mind to build, then doing social links is not really necessary unless you want to get Orpheus Telos or a certain ultimate persona, for example helel which you can get by maxing out hayase sl. I'm doing a lot more grinding for this run too so sometimes i even waste after school time just by playing an arcade game to get those bonus stats for my personas. Leveling up is a lot easier since i usually do a solo run after progressing far enough into the game to reach level 88 and then just get myself armageddon fusion spell for reaper farming.

It's the reapers passive since vanilla P3, if it ambushed you bro gets only 2 turns. But if reverse(ambushing the reaper,)it gets 4 turns flat out.

What's the most effective way of reaching max stats in this game?

Lots and lots of incense cards. You can trade for them from the antique shop, and sometimes even get them from other places. Other than that there are shuffle time bonuses that can increase the stats. These two methods especially the first one are the most effective way for me. EDIT: Oh yeah, also the weapon that i'm using increases all of your persona stats by +7 and even strengthens your magic skills, so definitely something to keep an eye on.
