Yeah, the entire first scene exudes her non-human nature. Especially with how she delivers "How unfortunate" alongside the head movement. Prime example of how you don't need to resort to a dated, overly stilted robotic speech to communicate a character lacks human traits.

Bennett seems to be doing a great job so far, which is nice as Strassman left big shoes for Aigis in the OG Persona 3. It does seems like Bennett's voice feels more AI like, at least initially, which does make sense given the more modern feel of P3R compared to the 2000s vibes of the OG. Also Aigis is easily the best mascot character lmao.

Her performance falls in line more with Maaya Sakamoto's. I'm pretty sure the overly robotic and mechanical performance was an acting choice from back then by the localization team.

@@MaxusFox23 As someone who has only played and heard the English version of Persona 3, that's cool I guess. In general though, due to both the differences between English and Japanese and artistic interpretation, I think its fine for the ENG and JPN VAs of a VG character to differ significantly. Just remain loyal to what the story presents the character as. Anyway, Bennett is pretty good, but prefer Strassman of as right now.

I can accept this voice. I still feel like the OG English one was the best just because it worked so well as a robot AND the fact that it sounds more human later and it hits when it does. Hopefully this one hits the same too. But I like the sound of this voice which is good.

Yeah, I think Strassman is up there with O'Brien as one of the OG voices most difficult to replace. Strassman did a great job in the OG Persona 3 showcasing Aigis character arc, and managed to nail the ending. It does seem like Bennett's take seems more AI like imo, which is fine.

I'm not bothered by Reload's take because the overly robotic/mechanical performance in the og was definitely an acting choice/voice direction from the localization team back then. Dawn's performance is much more similar to that of Aigis' Japanese VA Maaya Sakamoto, which falls in line with Suzie's take on Fuuka. *In other words, this is technically how Aigis was meant to sound like.* Polite yet detached, slightly ruthless and out of touch with common knowledge and customs... The perfect recipe for fish out of water comedy.

As much as I want The Answer DLC, Atlus does not do post launch DLCs. They only do Day One DLC which The Answer is not announce as that DLC till today with only left 3 months before the release.

The new soundtrack sounds amazing, both new tracks and renditions, but this Paulownia Mall theme will age like the OG. It sounds great, but the upgrade would have been for live drumming to stand the test of time. It gives me nostalgia to listen to the original which always reminded me of DDSI's intro; sounded great too, but is like 90's trap by today's standard, when talking about the drumming.
