Persona 5 is a role-playing video game developed by Atlus for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 video game consoles. Persona 5 is chronologically the sixth installment in the Persona series, which is part of the larger Megami Tensei franchise. Published by Atlus in Japan and North America and by Deep Silver in Europe and Australia, the game was released first in Japan in September 2016, and worldwide in April 2017. In Western regions, Persona 5 was the first main game in the series since Persona 2: Eternal Punishment to omit the Shin Megami Tensei moniker.

Well I don't know about the first two protagonists,(although realistically speaking I think one of them is dead and the other is probably around late twenties at most),but the Persona 3 protag is canonically dead, he gave up his life to seal away Nyx and do away with the Dark Hour and save the world from physical ruin. (Female Protag does the same from what I've gathered) Persona 4 is all but stated to have happened at least five years ago in game, so at best Shirogane Naoto, Tatsumi Kanji, and Kujikawa Rise are probably third year University students,(with Shirogane Naoto and Kujikawa Rise still juggling their respective careers, and Tatsumi Kanji doing God knows what but probably trying his best),Hanamura Yosuke is adulting in the Inaba Junes, Amagi Yukiko has probably taken over the Amagi Inn on her own terms, Satanaka Chie is probably doing her own thing, and Narukami Yu/Seta Souji is doing... Whatever it is that the cannon Narukami Yu/Seta Souji might do. He's... Odd for the lack of a better term. The Shin Megami Tensei,(the original franchise),protagonists are either in separate dimensions, to old to be much help, or traumatized beyond repair. At best Mitsuru and the old SEES team, those that are still alive, are keeping a close eye on things and we're perfectly ready to step in if allowed too. (Read a fanfiction called 'Ace In The Hole' where it was said Shido was restricting their movements, it's on Fanfiction.net) So at best the old Investigation Team is freaking the fuck out,(Yu/Souji is probably just smiling wistfully the weirdo...),SEES and the Shadow Operatives are being blocked from helping, and the other two either don't care or exist in a different continuity on some level. Don't know... It's the only thing that makes sense to me on some level. I haven't watched a playthrough in some time, so all I can say of the other tie ins to Persona 4 are a few pretty Risette posters... Just my opinion. And I rambled... Great.

@God damn it Battler/Tom/Zucc Honestly, Persona 3's case was worse. The whole world was about to end and there was nothing they could do. No one could do anything. No almighty being to stop a giant moon from killing off everyone. The only reason it stopped is because the protag got the Universe Arcana. Technically, Door-kun did not stop the inevitable end. It's still there, trying to end the world. He only stopped its progression by becoming a seal that nullifies it.

@tomato dude Pretty much. Without Door-kun acting as a seal that defends us against inevitable death, everyone would die. Which is why it would not be a good idea to free him, sadly. In the Answer, it explains that the reason for Nyx happening, is because humans awakened it with their thoughts of death. ¨Man, my mom died. I wish I were dead.¨ As long as humans are around, Nyx will happen.

To be fair, Joker: Helped stop physical abuse Helped stop sexual assault and harassment Helped stop money laundering and theft (by means of plagiarism) Helped stop drug and human trafficking Saved Futaba's life Helped Stop an arranged and forced marriage Helped a father and son be closer (and saved their lives) Helped Sojiro with the store, the truth about Wakaba, and saved his daughter's life Helped Kawakami with extortion charges made against her Proved Tae innocent while saving her clinic Helped Ohya with realizing the truth of her job she loves so much Helped Chihaya realize how to genuinely help others Helped Yoshida stand up for himself and ultimately pursue a politicians life with morals Helped Hifumi stand up to her mother and created a career that she had to earn I can't say I've come remotely close to doing any of these things. Many of these acts saved peoples' lives. I would go to bat for someone if they did these things for me

Honestly. When joker says "Pillage him, Satanael!" It gives me chills. The voice actor does great for the character even if it's only for very few lines. I really wish this game wouldn't end. Like very few games these days give you that feeling like you just want to keep playing even after the story is done and see where the characters go next. But this is one of them, like do they all stick together forever or eventually go there separate ways, is there a specific cannon girl for joker to get with if you don't chose one through the confidants?

The thing is though that they wouldn't have the same idea on what Morgana as a human would like. If it was their thoughts that gave him shape and allowed him to remain, then I doubt the whole thing would have worked if their thoughts weren't consistent. If anything their clashing ideas on what he would be like as a human might have prevented him from coming back at all if they had tried it.

The targets did not rely on others they simply manipulated them and the phantom pheives relied on each other, while the public were willingly becoming dependant on Shido and the Holy grail. The true problem stems from dependancy and oppression. The targets were in a twisted sense free to do what they want and forced others to serve them and those people allowed it to happen Kamoshida's victims saind nothing, Yusuke allowed himself to be taken advantage of and the public damn near worshiped Shido allong with there collective desires creating the Holy Grail wanting to be enslaved and not think for themselves. The Phantom Theives relied on each other but were not controlled by each other and had their own goals and dreams so the way I see it the message isn't against reliance but against doing nothing about problems but instead turning a blind eye and allowing them to hurt you as it is easier than stoping them

To be fair, Mishima is only friends with Akira/Ren and Ryuji. He's not friends with the entire Phantom Thieves as a whole. He just wants to be accepted and loved, not necessarily by the Phantom Thieves. Just society as a whole and he pretty much got what he wanted in the end, so he's fine as he is.

I just finished the game today. The way MC shout out "Pillage him, Satanael!" Without text is very powerful moment. I was awestruck and repeatedly prrss triangle to switch between Joker and Satanael. The moment when I finished reading Sinful Shell description then commit the action, the song ends at the same time, beautifully, it was as if arranged accordingly on purpose. :)
