I’m so sorry. While I don’t know the exact pain you are going through, I can relate. I don’t know if this reply will offer any solace but my best friend took her own life almost 3 years ago now. When I got the call I was beside myself with grief. This is a weird note but, a few days after I was notified of her passing, I remember being in the casino palace part of the game and feeling absolutely numb. I don’t know how you’re handling your best friend’s passing but please take care of yourself. I recently started playing persona 5. I’ve never touched the series, never even heard of it, but it’d been sitting on my shelf for a year. Over the past three days I’ve played 28 hours. I’ve never been more into a game in my life. I’ve only just finished Madarame’s Palace, and I’m excited to continue! Edit three years later I finally finished for the first time (I’ve played to Sae’s palace around 3 separate times because I couldn’t decide who to romance... I settled on Ann, I’m going for Makoto in new game +), I finished the game with a grand total of 657 hours. Most of that being idle, in the metaverse, researching the best personas, and reaching max on all skills and confidants. I wanted this to be the game with no regrets and it truly is. Thank you everyone for your interest in my enjoyment. Truly this has become my favorite game.

I have a weird attachment to Beneath the Mask. I have never played Persona 5, nor any other Persona game. Never seen them played or anything, barely even know what they are about. But, a friend of mine from college had a PlayStation 4 home screen themed to Persona 5 that played the instrumental on loop. Spent a lot of time couch gaming with those guys, heard this song a lot, even fell asleep to it. Got a lot of memories attached to it, mostly good. Thanks for listening

I've listened through these 10 hours thrice man, first in 7th grade for all four quarters, second last summer while playing Minecraft and just now after finishing my review for the entire 8th grade second term. It's helped a lot so thank you so much! Edit: As of 4/17/22, Easter Sunday, I just wanted to celebrate listening to this through the 10th time lol. There was the time I listened to this on a bullet train ride to Osaka and the other time I let it play on repeat to keep me company in the hospital. A lot can change in 3 years, whilst I’m currently in Senior High 11th Grade, I could be in college in 3 years time or perhaps already be working? Who knows? All I know for sure is that I’ll still try my best to listen to this song then. Edit: 11/06/24, just after the Autumn break (Halloween to today). Currently a soph taking my pre-med (or maybe not, cause Bio is just cool in general), and I really wouldn’t have thought I’d end up here. I was really sure that Law or Engineering would be the path I’d end up on, but I ended up passing Bio in the top school that I thought I would have no chance getting into (hence me picking a course I liked and was hard to get into, as opposed to being practical). It’s been a real struggle going through college, and going through all the adulting that begins here. I’m already experiencing really bad hyperacidity, relationships are crap, and people are getting older. Life really is changing. Admittedly, I haven’t been on here for a long time, and pressing play again was just like Sojiro welcoming me back for the nth time. Stay safe y’alls.
