Like I posted in another video, it's truly disturbing how similar Shido is to Senator Armstrong from Metal Gear Rising: - Both of them are ultra nationalistic politicians that seek to become the highest authority figure in their respective countries (Prime Minister of Japan in Shido's case, President of the United States in Armstrong's case) - Both of them go into rants on how the world should purge the weak and let the strong thrive. - Both of them fight the protagonist first aboard a vehicle (Shido's transformable golden lion, Armstrong's Metal Gear EXCELSUS). - Both of them roid the hell up for the final round, causing to become impossibly muscled with distorted, discolored skin (bright red in Shido's case and reddish dark in Armstrong's case).

Alfonso Alvarado I feel the creators of Persona 5 and Metal Gear Rising probably took cues from populists leaders and warrior-kings that have appeared throughout history. People always say they want a "strong leader", I think Shido and Armstrong were meant to be deconstructions of what "strong leaders" look like. Their final forms perfectly illustrate how in the end they're willing to use brute force to change the world and remove anyone who doesn't agree with them like a tyrant, whatever words or speeches they give is just a mask they use to ascend to power. Oh, and both have pretty kickass music playing during their boss fights.

Wolfboss7 Good point. Both Armstrong and Shido seem to be over the top parodies of what people think is a determined, fearless leader should look and act like. Someone that takes matters on their own hands, do not yield under any circumstances and will fulfill their promises by any costs any if that involve sacrifices then so be it. The fact that in reality they're power-hungry, unhinged lunatics that will throw the entire world to the lions (perhaps literally in Shido's case) for the sake of forcing everybody to follow their ideals really hammers the point.

I remember that this fight the first time was so intense for me my team mates kept dying and I kept trying to kill him while I healed I saved all my sp for heals and he kept nearly one shotting me and I managed to kill him by sheer willpower

His final form nearly killed me. I got to a point where I burned so much SP that I decided to give up. He killed off everyone except y main. On my main, I had a repel physical ability. When I saw that I could just guard through his attacks, he would eventually kill himself.

I was one attack away and this guy wiped everyone else except my main with 50 hp and i was like fuck it and hit him with God's Hand to finish him off. I can't believe i did it with only 2 sp heals on joker on Hard difficulty in 2 attempts honestly

Debilitate was such a useful skill here. I suggest that every body should try to get trumpeteer as soon as possible and get that skill. It decreases all stats for an enemy at once! And I'm spirited the guy didn't use physical attack skills more often. They do a more damage.
