BECOME A PATRON TO GET SONGS/TABS: www.patreon.com/coversolutions Sorry if the tone is not the best but it's always hard to emulate synthetized bass. I didn't have much help on references so i did what i could to make smooth positions. Quite hard actually. Lots of nuances in ryhtm and execution, fast enough parts. If you have any doubt, just let me know. Song is in F# Natural Minor with some exceptions (i simplified some harmony, there's probably more to it, let me know if you have something to say): F# Natural Minor (Relative to A Major) (With F# C# G#) i F#m (F# A C) ii° G#dim (G# B D) III A (A C# E) iv Bm (B D F#) or Bm7 (B D F# A) or Bm9 (B D F# A C#) for extended harmony v C#m (C# E G#) or C#m7 (C# E G# B) for extended harmony V7 C#7(b9) (C# E# G# B D) Borrowed from F# Harmonic Minor (stronger dominant) VI D (D F# A) VII E (E G# B) B part has a Dm7 that's quite outside from the functionality of F# Minor but is probably taken as a iv minor from A Major. That would also explain the Em7 - Cmaj7 part as modal interchange (A Minor Harmony)

Don't worry about the tone at all. It sounds great and sounds amazing in this specific type of music (name?). Besides, while this has tabs, it's still a cover nonetheless. Covers are meant to have a different tone than the writer

I know i'm four years late to the party, but my dad died in '22, he never left a will so as the only musician in the family, I kept all of his basses, guitars, synths etc. This literally got me to pull the blue fender baby bass that i first learned on from my dad and play it. Thank you man. Thank you. I haven't touched anything since he passed, and now I can groove something my dad would definitely jam to.

I wanted to learn guitar because of the old Skyrim electric song covers. Figured I'd start on acoustic and I knew my Uncle who passed a few years prior had one. Nearly 8 years later I still play acoustic and also acquired an electric and 2 basses. I will forever keep that first Ovation in memory of him. Thanks for sharing :)

Does anybody have any history on why the bass shines so much in most Japanese music? Most tracks I've heard made by a Japanese artist, the bass is usually the most complex and best sounding part of the song. I don't know it there's a reason, but it sure is awesome!

This composer Shoji Meguro gives bass a lot of protagonism in most tracks but yeah you are right, I would love to know the answer of that!

Their music in general is very complex and the bass doesnt stay behind. There's a lot of good composers since NES. Japanese power metal is pretty different from Europe power metal.

Jesus, what a *dense* song. I can't even tell if it follows a normal song structure or if I'm gonna have to memorize a bunch of different "verses" and hope I play them in the right order. This sounds fantastic and you've got a great bass tone going. Thank you for the help!

Feeling 16th notes can be tough. Start slow and stay persistent because eventually you'll be able to feel where they truly belong in the grid. I find it helps to practice grooves like these very slowly and with a metronome that gives you the subdivided 16th notes.
