It really gave that month leading to December so much weight to it. It gave the feeling that even though Ren survived the attempted assassination attack by Akechi and Shido, officially to the public he was a dead man. It was like at *ANY* time Ren went outside during this time, he ran the constant risk of potentially getting caught by someone and making the whole plan fall apart if they discovered his death was false prematurely. Luckily, his confidants found out he was alive and kept their word to keep quiet about his fake death AND he made a promise to his worried first year Sumi that he’d come back safely from his mission with Shido so they can have fun together.

Ann: Still, losing both his parents at that age, having to work at an adult establishment for any kind of love, & being forced to fight a madman and his robots. Once delivered into his bloodstream, it will cause a chain reaction, shutting down his brain function and neutralizing him as a threat to our daily lives. Ryuji: Can you believe that guy? Yusuke: He does give a valid argument for defeating Godzilla. Ann: Still, don't you see any holes in his theory? Sophia: Yes. Morgana: He was clearly using them for some weird science experiment. Makoto: Hard to argue with that. Futaba: Yeah, well, while you were all fighting Cog-zilla, I was analyzing the compound in that dart. Ren -What did you find out about it? -Cog-zilla? Futaba: Cognitive Godzilla. I shortened it. Anyway... Futaba: According to my analysis, preliminary findings indicated it was a neurotoxin. Ren -How did he make so many Godzilla clones? Morgana: They were all a cognition. -He's cooking something up. Makoto: Makes sense to me, with that large a sample size. Zenkichi: So he was using the Lair to make Cog-zilla clones in order to test his neurotoxin as a monster killer theory. Ann: Too bad it only put them all to sleep. Haru: Yeah, makes me glad that those kind of monsters are only fictional.
