I seriously appreciate Makoto's, Futaba's and Ann's. They actually acknowledge that the protag has his own feelings and problems and offer their support instead if just focusing on themselves. Especially Makoto, since she acknowledges that the protagonist has a problem with carrying other people's burdens with him. I know he's a self insert type of blank slate, but he's still got his own character. Makoto best girl, I prefer Haru as a romance over Futaba and Ann, but they've got better dialogue here.

Yeah, I went with Sumire, and I was pretty disappointed with the whole conversation. Makoto and Ann both seem to be putting in effort to make sure the relationship will keep going strong in spite of the distance. Sumire acts more like “Well, sure, I’ll miss you, but I’ve got my dream to pursue. But I won’t forget you, and I’ll be sure to get famous so you’ll hear about me!” Obviously it’s just what I felt, but when compared to the others and how focused they were, it was pretty lame. It just felt really shallow, like you were just the catalyst for her success and now she can move on. I liked a lot of aspects of her character overall, but that event was easily my least favorite of the bunch.

Even with the true ending adding a bit more time it still wouldn't work. I get that everyone wants to get their Sae fix but come on there's only so much that can be put into the game without dragging it on which is why we end up having time skips cause there's nothing else that can be done.

@@YokomichiSilver if they made akechi a social link, who flat out hates you and in the story puts a bullet in your head, then sae can easily be romanceable with one easy fix: make her social link exclusive to the third semester only. You're in an alternate reality, everything has been reset, you have a clean slate all from Dr Maruki. Romance her before the palace of Maruki is completed, defeat him and revert reality back to its original state and because of the reset sae lost all her memories of the social link. Bam. Done

Even when the alternate reality gets lifted you as the leader of the Phantom Thieves would still need to be held for trial. Sure some will be happy knowing they were able to romance her but not everyone will be happy when everything gets reset back to normal and while you will remember everything Sae won't recall a thing. Do we really want the main character to go through the same fate as what Maruki went through? I know I wouldn't want Joker to fall in love only to have the relationship be a fake one.

I honestly believe that the small differences in Sojiro's and Morgana's reactions among the various options can give you a clear view of what even the devs thought: Sojiro's face with Ohya clearly tells you what everyone in the fandom says, meaning that the poor journalist is the worst option (compared to the others, no hate for her at all). Morgana, on the other hand, is silent and just leaves in the vast majority of the cases, except for being devastated if you date Ann (understandable), laughing when you are with Futaba because of Sojiro and... laughing when you are with Haru. But why? Simply because Haru is the best girl AND the one who is supposed to end up with Ren/Akira. I can't believe it being just a case that she's the only one so clearly heartbroken if you reject her... from my POV they like to give little hints here and there. But that's just my opinion. I still like Makoto more over her lol

I thought it was really cool because she is the only one that says it different, all the other girls just tell him the same way that they want to sit together. I agree that with her development in Royal in doesn't really fit to have her freak out over chocolates. In this scene she is actually quite composed and kinda mature and stuff, so I think that is good character development. I just felt that the original had a more "Futaba" vibe. I like both versions though. She is one of my favorite characters.

I have a question. I saw a post on Reddit which said that you haven't got any free time after Maruki's palace (2/3). And I'm right at 2/2. How do you get to these events? Are they from new game plus or how?

After you’re done with the palace, the game pretty much goes on auto pilot in terms of story and wrapping thing up, including the Valentine’s Day and White Day events. So long as you got one of the romance options, you’ll get them automatically after everything’s done

You still get the events when you've cleared Mayuki's palace because the game sets the clock back and reality returns to the ending of Persona 5.

Another thing however i wanna warn you if you didnt know already, there are 3 certain confidants you HAVE to max out if you want to experience the new plot of the game
