My only criticism is that the hair is way too bright. It works a lot better in the buffet picture Ryuji takes, where it's shaded to break up the really strong color. I hope that's the plan for the hair, but I guess getting custom shading stuff working must be hard. Everything else really looks amazing. This is exciting!

I definitely think she needs glasses for her real world outfit. Joker's glasses are very symbolic and a statement piece for his character, so any female counterpart for him should have that as a consideration as well, or at the very least, a replacement for it. See Joker's glasses actually aren't prescription. They're fashion, but he doesn't wear them to look cool, they're actually his mask. A buffer between people and his real self. He wears that mask to look more meek and harmless than he otherwise would, in an attempt to distance himself from the delinquent that everyone thinks he is. He rarely takes off that mask. In the Velvet Room, which is his inner world, in the Metaverse where he operates as Joker (and swaps his metaphorical mask for an actual mask), and in rare circumstances spending time with his friends like at the beach or the (immediately rained out) fireworks festival. Annnd of course, in a few of Akechi's confidant ranks, one of those in particular being very important. So I think losing that subtle storytelling weakens the main character. I can understand if you want to ditch the glasses to make her stand out as her own person separate from Joker, but she needs to have her own "mask" if you're going to do that.

While everything in this mod is pretty great, I feel like the portraits of femc could use some work. I feel to better fit the art style of the game, her face drawn could use more refinement. Another thing you can try is also implementing the beta model for femc in the files left over from development and use that as reference or whatever you want. Overall tho, this is really cool and thank you for what you’re doing.

yeah this kinda works better, making the Fem Protag tomboyish with dyed hair (which in Japan usually a sign of delinquent behavior, like Sakamoto) can help them continue to use the story of "being on probation assault", if the main character is a strong and kind girl like Yoshizawa then it would it the narrative (then again they could just write a different story but that's just more extra works)

A femme fatale who stumped the worlds greatest detective on many occasions, I really think that fits Jokers original characterisation very well!

I must say I'm curious though; why change the Persona Awakening line from "...for thine own justice" to "...for thine own pride"? It seems like an interesting choice. I really like the FeMC Joker outfit too! It's not super sexualized (which is SO refreshing) but it also differs enough from the original to be its own thing, which I like!

Hmm... This Fem!Ren has big Girl Boss energy. An unabashed tomboyish flare with no hesitation to lean masculine despite being the female option. It's the polar opposite to Anne's genuine male sex appeal. Yet, it is ALSO unlike Persona 4's "detective prince" as she never seems small or delicate. Nothing has been changed about Ren's core personality, but as a girl it strikes very different. Now, I understand the point is to go full beta on the design, but i have to agree with some others here: the hair shade is far too bright. It works for Sophie only because she is meant to be unrealistic, but even Kasumi's hair never looks this red. It might work as a stylistic choice in the Metaverse attire, but it doesn't look quite right for the real self. Just tone the shades down and add a bit more shading here and there and it should work just fine. An artistic example you could draw from, if one is needed, is Sully from Fire Emblem Awakening. She's pretty similar in concept, at that, and has the same hairdo. BUT, this is you guys. And I love what I see so far. You do you! I'm sure this is by no means final, yes?

Ngl, everything I've seen seems incredible. But the cut-in for when you choose a dialogue option definitely flashbanged me. It contrasted with the tone and color of P5 which makes it look just ugly. If it was by itself, it would've been fine. Maybe something similar to Joker's original cut-in image when he's cholsing a dialogue option. Also the hair is way too bright. Besides that, it looks amazing. I didn't even expect there to be voice acting. Keep up the good work and maybe we can get this for P4 too.

Congrats to the team working on the mod, it's looking really cool so far, my only two "nitpicks" would be what was already said before of her hair being cool but the shade of red being a little too bright, looks almost radioactive, and the second is something I noticed but understand might be the case because of how early in development is the mod... some of her animations and body proportions are still too close to base Joker, making her silhouette too masculine, while I get that she seems to be aimed as a bit of a tomboy (someone compared her to Ryuko from kill la kill, and I 100% agree) her body type could be closer to Makoto, along the animations not needing to be too dainty, just more feminine, other than that you guys are doing an amazing job.
