Seems, that Joker caring the OSA pistol in his hands. It's a Russian non-lethal traumatic pistol, that using in many countries in World. The OSA got a good stopping power of bullets (it using rubber bullet), that could help to neutralize the aggressive opponent, without lethal damage (if you not shooting in eyes or the temporal fossa). Fun fact the first persona game persona 1 is the first ever game with recruitable teamates but P1 P2 and P2 the second is forgotten so yeah even tho while yes pokemon stole the consept of recruiting mosters,demons,angels, and yokai(japan ghost) pokemon still gets credit for having that recruiting system
