At 16:42, it's interesting that Futaba's uncle, despite being a hypocrite, does actually have a decent point about how people wouldn't look kindly upon Sojiro not having Futaba leave the house or go to school, a bit like what Sae said in late July. If Futaba hadn't become able to leave the house, the Mild-mannered Investigator might not have been so understanding.

That's mainly true in the first half of the confidant, the part that's available before Futaba joins the party. One thing I've heard is that your social parameters help determine how many "music notes" you get from a dialogue choice, and if they're low, you may not get 3 notes even if you' choose the right answer and have a Persona of the matching Arcana, which may be one reason why he's fairly slow early on.
