Ann experienced an amazing transformation during her awakening when she had to see her best friend attempt to take her life firsthand because of the trauma she was suffering. I think her growth was really a very sensitive topic to add to a very popular franchise but it raised some awareness and made for an incredible character development!

The scenes of Alice right before the battle and after it always get to me. As someone who has been bullied and who saw myself as a pathetic little shit, and who thanks to that developed a power fantasy of manipulating/tricking others into doing what I want them to do, I can’t help but empathize with Alice. I didn’t even trust my own friends. I felt hate and remorse to every single classmate I had. Luckily, I found my own “Ann”, tho, we had some problems and… Stuff happened, which only makes the scenes were Ann treats Alice nicely hit even harder on me… Man, Alice is easily one of my favorite video Games, even media characters.

Me too man, usually first boss battles are soo ass in a persons game because you just aren’t leveled up yet… I ended up using all of my health items… I think bringing her defense down where she takes more damage is the way to go…

By Igor this fight was ROUGH for me! I was at Level 16 with Joker and still died so many times! The Run where i managed to beat her started with Makoto dying in the First Phase and Morgana and Ann in the second and than i just had to Dodge and fight like my Life dependet on it with a Quarter of the health to Go. Joker was at 1 HP but somehow we pulled it off. Rewarding as hell but man was i on the edge or my seat... I REALLY Hope it gets easier with Revival items unlocked

You can say that again... Are you playing on Hard? I'm in the homestretch (I think), about 80% complete, and running into the same issue. I'm at the point where Morgana and Sophia both have revival skills, but since I only keep one of them in the party at a time, if they die, I'm screwed. It's hard to reliably find revival items at this point since the stores don't replenish them quickly enough. I only just paid to get Unicorn with Recarn, so hopefully that solves my issue at this point. Be careful when you get more of the revival items, because it'll be tempting to waste them before getting into a tough boss fight, because then you're really screwed lol. Hope your experience gets better! The tense moments at least get your blood pumping!

@@readerofstainedhearts0593 I am playing on normal actually. I was seriously shocked that I struggle so much at the First boss. I have played Devil May Cry 5 and Nier Automata in the past but for some reason this Musou Kind of gameplay is tougher for me. I see your issue. Hopefully Joker having recarm persona does help. Thanks for the tips and the words of encouragement. Ill Make Sure to Keep in mind to preserve my items. I usually do just that but alice forced me to use every item i had in Stock XD

One word: Get Mokoi on joker and tarujaka, Have Makoto Sophie and Yusuke. Use sophie defense debuff, Yusuke Agily buff, joker attack buff and makoto defense buff, spam physical on yusuke and when hes low switch to makoto heal, use sophies sp pool if needed, even jokers. Spam spam until you get a follow up from crit, dont be afraid to use yusuke combos too because they alot, crits eventually lead to all out and because of all the dmg ur doing with yusuke u get showtime. Done. Every boss in the game dies in about 2 minutes for me.

even though there are personas that can out damage yusuke’s abilities, his kit with his light attacks and strong attacks and follow ups make him really strong in almost any situation, until u come across an enemy resistant to physical then just use joker or something haha

the only thing that is weird before the fight is how Alice was able to confirm Ann's identity right out the gate when usually it takes the cognitive version to see their identities before awakening to their Personas and gaining their masks. like ik Ann's very distinguishable compared to the rest of em, but it was still a bit confusing

she's actually the hardest boss in the game, i used joker, mona, queen and sophie, and alice's Psy attack OHKO mona, and queen for sure (for being weak against psy), and later sophie, and i check if i have a revival item because mona and sophie they don't have recarm, and i have 1 but 3 are down, they don't sell revival items in shops yet for being the beginning of the game, and i got my 1st and only game over in the game, i did well on protecting oracle, the infiltration as zenkichi during akane's jail, fighting bosses and doing quests, is like perfect run, but the 1st boss ruined it for lack of revives and her over power Psy attack, my round 2 i took out queen for panther because queen is weak against Psy, alice is weak against fire like panther's fire, and using psy resist accessories to everyone i choosed to fight against alice, im still mad that i did perfect run, but is still ruined all the way to the beginning by alice, the 1st boss in the game

I'm playing on hard and while it's been challenging so far, this boss is just ridiculous. She kills anyone in my party with 1 or 2 hits while the damage that I give to her is literally null. I'm level ~15 but this boss is such a sponge, and it's not like I'm not using my combos or anything but obviously I cannot use my mana on spells other than cure because of how hard she hits. Like, I get that it's the hard difficulty but this is more annoying than it is difficult. It's okay for her to hit so hard but she shouldn't be such a damage sponge.
