Pat Daddy Who said anything about RUSH? I'm talking about the game in general. KOFXIV IS simple. If you watched the tourny you'd see how simple it is. It's actually SIMPLER than 2k2 because 2k2 Max Mode you could cancel specials into other specials. In XIV you cannot.

That's a good thing, HD system of KOF13 is only good for combo exhibition, but it is not fun to play or watch. Waiting for 10+ seconds for your opponent to finish his HD combo which you have seen 100 times? It is one of the reason that many people don't give a shit about 13 and go back to 02 or 98. I am happy it is gone.

+Mujtaba Ibrahim Well KOF XIV is a mix between '02, '98 and KOF 13. Amongst that combination are the creators of the '98-'02 in addition to whatever staff they currently have, making the most out of the old and new style of combos. If you haven't seen the KVO x TSB tourney, i advise you to watch it all. Not just the Semi' and Grand Finals. The game isn't slow nor is the combo potential missing as people claim it would be. Climax Mode(HSDM) as well the other Max Mode(SDM) are just as great as they were in 02 , and it's clear how they kept the long combo potential from KOF 13, with the implementation of '98 and '02. Any true fan of SNK's work will absolutely adore this iteration of KOF, especially those who missed the feel or intensity of the older games. Unlike Nintendo's Gen 5 reiteration of Nostalgia with clashing new outlook, the only really difference is the sprite models and Graphics. Nonetheless it still bring the KOF 13 asthetics with the gameplay of '98, the complexity of ''02 and the feel of KOF 13. An absolutely remarkable take on 3 different Saga styles.

***** There's a video comprison of the combos done and replicated in KoF 13 and 02 on par perfectly(also showing KOF Wing, the flash game based on a series of mixed imput froms the KOF Franchise, but nonethless accurate). It shows that KOF XIV isn't slow but rather the animations are far to smooth to appear faster than our eye.
