In all my years I have found this is a topic most ppl will not touch. Human dynamics is not a popular topic. As a survivalist and being alone, I see it as 'there's a time and a place for everything'- This included interjecting oneself into a potentially unwinnable situation where you risk bringing a force down on yourself, for the sake of helping a stranger/strangers, that you cannot contend with or repel if they decide to turn their fury on you ...There's more to it than just deciding what's right and what's wrong, even when talking about captured OPFOR and what to do with them. No one will be able to save the world when the hammer drops. One has to choose their fights wisely.

Again, mike, you make clear the very basis of being a good man ... strong in body, mind, morals and ethics. These are key thoughts in any true warrior. Willing to be violent when needed...but always guided by a strong moral sense of the right thing to do.

@@bloobmonkey That was how Mencken defines it? That certainly does not fit with what we know of honour-based cultures.

Excellent chat, mate. It is a subject often glossed over, but ultimately our morals / our beliefs separate us from the bad guys. We both (maybe) are trained to use weapons / conduct ops, but we are the ones that must stay on the side of good / right.

Thank you. This one was hard to approach in the right way. Being my first time, it’s not perfect but wanted to talk about the importance and how it separates us. I believe if you train to use weapons you must actively be developing your morals to be the good guy and do what’s right as you say

There’s that old principle that if you can’t do what is right when it’s easy and doesn’t cost you much, you won’t do it when it’s something big and the cost will be high. If you can’t say no to people now….

This theme is not for one video. In my opinion, first of all, it is necessary for person to understand and adequately assess one's strengths and capabilities, to be aware of responsibility and the possible consequences of one's actions. Unfortunately, few people realize this, even after committing the action that a person considers correct, which is not always the case. At the time of making a decision, for example, to protect or help a person in trouble, there is little time to assess the situation and take the necessary measures, since, as a rule, the window of opportunity to make decisions and actions is very short. It is necessary to have sufficient willpower to make the necessary and quick decision. We all want to be the best version of ourselves, but we don't always have the courage to accept our weaknesses and move forward. it's easier to think that you are the best, because there are not always situations when you can test yourself, whether you can cope with fear or adrenaline that can paralyze you. What is the moral component for each person is an assessment of what is good and what is wrong from the point of view of the rules accepted by propper society. In general, I agree with you Mike, and with everything you say. such issues need to be discussed in order to act confidently, quickly and correctly in an emergency situation. Bad things happen often, and it's good when there is a person who can help and support you, not only by deed, but also just by communication. Thanks for the video, you're a good person. Go on.

I have been in a couple of situations where some tougher decision making had to be done and, regrettably, the majority of the party in both cases were women. Hence the most charismatic of persons were given the most credibility for a good deal of the time we spent having trouble and in both cases, these most charismatic individuals did not improve the situation and it could be argued that they worsened it.

Every industry/group/hobbie must have GOOD morals driving its core. Guns are no different. This should not come as a surprise to anyone in this community. Like Mike said, we all know the difference between right and wrong. lying to yourself about " being on the correct side" will be your downfall. Great video!
