Great job on this video! Putting the chilled/cold water from the fridge into the machine is a *great* tip and a game-changer. For our first batch of ice in this machine, I had accidentally left our filtered water outside on the porch overnight, and the temperature was in the high 30’s. When I put that* water in the machine, turned it on, and pushed the “Soft Ice” button, we had a whole full bucket in about 15 minutes. Tonight, I put room-temperature bottled water in it, and it’s been barely making any ice and then turning off after a few minutes. Now that it’s been running for a while and the water is chilled in the machine, it’s doing a little better, but I’m 100% confident your tip to chill the water in the fridge (or outside in the cold) first will make all the difference.

Mine won’t dispense ice at all. 😢
@reginanovy7225 Жыл бұрын
@bridgettshull4963 You have to fill it with water to the minimum or maximum line. Then hit the start button it takes about 10 minutes after hitting start abd ice begins to drop

I did the same thing when I got mine. I forgot to hit the Soft Ice button to begin the making ice process

You can put the Ice in a container in your freezer and make more

I have a slightly different countertop ice maker but it's the same principle...the ice isn't melted in mine but it is what I would call "wet" ice... not like ice that's been in the freezer....what I do is once it's made about 1/2 basket of ice... I pour it into a gallon sized zip lock freezer bag....pop it in the freezer....keep doing this until the bag is full... Putting it in the zip lock bag also makes it easy to break up the ice by squeezing the bag if any sticks together..... after the full bag of ice has been in the freezer and it's no longer wet ice...I dump it in the ice bin in the freezer and start over

I have one. And I don’t like that half the ice is melted before it’s done.

Try the tip I mentioned in the video...use cold water instead of room temperature see if that helps a little

Do you have trouble with your ice melting quickly? After mine fills up, it starts melting
@brittanyjackson8394 Жыл бұрын
Yeah since the compartment is not refrigeratorared like the more expensive machines unfortunately the ice doesn't hold very long I have also noticed that if your house is hot the bucket can be full of water during the ice making process...when that happens I just stop the machine drain the water and put that same water back in... it usually is fine after that because the water is already cold

Mines isn’t working. I followed the instructions and pressed the clean cycle button for 3 seconds. Nothing happens, not even the light under the machine. Anyone have recommendations on what I should do?
@glotzsee Жыл бұрын
You must press the power button first to power the machine up, then press the clean cycle button. The instructions were not clear about that.

@@Bro_wdf_you_doing mine has to be pressed for like 5 seconds… try to let it pressed until the blue light turns on. Good luck.

Do we leave it on all day??
@reginanovy7225 Жыл бұрын
No,do not leave it on all day. Make the ice that you need then unplug it.
@brittanyjackson8394 Жыл бұрын
No you don't leave it on you turn it off and unplug it....in not exactly sure why you have to unplug it but thats what the instructions recommend
@didi2409 Жыл бұрын
bought mines and it leakes at the bottom where the screws are and the ice melts if you don’t use it
@brittanyjackson8394 Жыл бұрын
Yes the ice does melt its not a refrigerated unit but it definitely shouldn't be leaking you might want to take it back

Does it matter the kind of bleach?
@brittanyjackson8394 Жыл бұрын
The instructions don't specify but I just use regular store brand or clorox....I wouldn't recommend using the scented kind like "lemon scent" or the "no splash" because it's a thicker consistency

Your video was very correct on everything. I do have a problem with mine. It has started shutting off, it will start to make ice and then after about 15 minutes it will just shut off and I have to push the power and the ice making button again. For me to get a full bucket of ice this morning I had to turn it back on like seven or eight times I'm afraid it's getting too hot. One of the videos I watched show that it gets dust on the inside so I would need to take it apart and clean all the dust out of it. Other than this problem I have loved it
@brittanyjackson8394 Жыл бұрын
Yes mine was doing the same thing my house is very dusty unfortunately there's no way around that part the same way you have to clean the blades if a regular house fan you have to also clean the blades if the fan inside the machine

***update*** ok fellow ice chewers i am still using my machine every day and a few things i have noticed do not leave your machine running! A few times i have made a batch of ice an fallen alseep.. once all the water has ran out and the indicator light that says "add water" comes on the machine will constantly kick on and off which is putting unnecessary ware and tare on the motor i did this like 5 times and noticed my machine making a funny noise afterwards 2) you have to periodically take the back off the machine and clean the fan blades especially if you have a dusty home it get caked up with dust the same way any other fan does now is this covered under warranty im not 100% so please becarful when doing this
