My condolences are a bit late, but your memories will be treasured for a lifetime. My family's blessing to all of you! Great fencing solution. I specifically like the solar-powered feature! Those little masked-bandit critters will eat an acre of grapes in one night. They come to visit in numbers as if holding a "convention".

Am sorry for your loss,lost my dad 8 yrs ago. Several tips . If your soil is loose enough, use the loader to push them down. For a hotter fence,keep the soil around the ground rod damp. Our corn was over with in SE Ga in the middle of June. Summer's best meal is fresh 🌽, and tomato sandwiches,which drip down you arms lol

Thank you Tim and Cristy!! You my friend are very brave and strong. Not sure I could do what your and family don't. Losing a loved one is very difficult. You guys are amazing. you treat us viewers like family by sharing the events/ info. I really enjoy the videos. Sincerely amazing what you guys done for your dad and family, tight knit !! I know it's difficult. Thanks so much for the video. By the way thank for the potato info. We grew our first patch this year. They were small like yours and don't taste quiet right!! I thought that maybe I done something wrong but the plant on top was brown like yours so I'm certain they were some growing. Thank you Tim and Christy

Thanks for the kind words. Not sure what could affect the taste. It is likely the variety of potato. The tops will die like ours...normal part of the process. They usually die before you think they should.

I personally think that any amount of food you can grow on your own is a win. Those potatoes look like the perfect size for roasted potatoes wedges. The most important part of the big tool rack is it has a place to sit and eat a cheeseburger with your roasted potatoes. Mmm great video.

Here in NW Arkansas on Dragon Hill Farm my raccoons have different taste buds. They let the deer eat the corn and they go for chicken! I'm down to 6 hens from 35 in May! They have been teaching the youngsters how to catch and kill chickens. Seems the younger ones have learned the technique well!

Love the fields! I think if you could place the charger/kicker on top of a post or another one, it would see more sun. Nice hints. There was a 'Rac' bar and grill 20 miles from town (likely outside the county) They only had the C words. They were horsemen that hunted the ring tail bandits from stealing their deer and cattle corn. They were serious deer hunters for family food. The number of creeks and rivers in the area kicked up the populations. Memory of 45 years ago. Not PC today.

Tim, driving posts. use the bottom of the loader bucket. use the loader to force the post into the ground with downward force. try it. go slow, make adjustments as needed. those t posts sink right in. almost like using a 3pt auger, go slow, make fwd, rev. adjustments to keep it level. no need to a t post driver (unless the soil is rock hard). i use this method for fixing fence post on my property.
@eosjoe565
@eosjoe565 4 жыл бұрын
That might work well for fixing fence posts but for putting them in initially there is no way to hold the post upright and straight. So it would require two people. The ground also has to be very soft. I've tried it. The BEST tool is a gas-powered T-post driver. Turns the job into child's play.

raccoon will usually check the first couple rows to see if corn is ready, my grandmother always planted about 4 rows of late corn and the early in the middle. worked pretty well for years. you can also put a radio under a bucket in the corn patch and leave it on the scare the away. my neighbor did this with a motion switch so it came on when they walked by

Tim, your t-post driving reminded me of a loosely related question. Have you ever thought of having fire extinguishers on your tractors? I live in hot, dry Northern California wildfire country. We have repeated large wildfires. Two years ago, a rancher started a fire that burned several thousand acres, while driving in a t-post. Another was caused by trailer safety chains dragging the road. My second 1025 accessory (after Ken's Bolt-On Hooks) was a fire extinguisher. Thanks for what you do!

Great video. We call them trash bandits. And you are exactly right, they will sniff out the corn just before you're ready for it. I am about 90 min north of you. Our first batch did not come up well and had to replant. Between the cold wet weather and questionable seed, the replant was not not impressive either. As like you, second batch was more like normal. We kinfe in nitrogen every year and that makes a difference. Like the tool rack, been looking at them. Have you looked at a middle buster for johnny, much better than using a pitchfork. I have found in heavier black dirt potatoes grow better if you slighty hill them. I also remember my grandfather cutting, drying potatoes for 3 days, then putting fertilizer in the furry til it was almost white before planting them. Excellent idea for your father. It me, that was going in stlye to the promised land.

It's tough to find a happy medium on Kerplunkers. My dad made one out of a forklift hydraulic cylinder. He took a section of 4-inch cylinder rod, about 18-inches long and welded a T-handle to the top. That thing will drive fence posts in like crazy but it is heavy and will wear you out quickly! It wouldn't take long to end up like Leg Arms from the Welker Farming channel. :-)
