Personal Income Tax Computation (PAYE)

This video explained how to compute employees Personal Income Tax (PAYE) in accordance with 2020 Finance ACT of FGN using Excel. It assumes zero knowledge of what PAYE is. It shows how to compute Total Income, Gross Income, National Housing Fund(NHF), Pension Contributions, Consolidated Relief and Allowance (CRA), Chargeable Income and Tax Payables using tax rate calendar. Apart from all these, you will also learn how to interpret conditional words into formulas if you are dealing with other issues.

How do we include someone whose total income is not up to 240,000 in the formula, knowing that is paye will be 1% of his income

The first computation formula has made provision for that. If Chargeable Income is >= 300k, charge tax of 7% of 300k, otherwise 1% of the Chargeable Income.
