*Personal Opinion* Finnish vs. Hungarian Dub Comparison

Please read me and watch in HD if you are a cool person!! :)
So, it has been like 3 weeks since another video, but the delay was a combination between a week-long vacation to Belgium, a terrible fever that lasted for another week, and watching too much South Park while eating Doritos. But I'm back with a video comparing the princess voices from Finland and Hungary. Why these two? Because these languages are so lonely in their place. You can see Finnish as sort of the rejected Cinderella of Northern Europe, whereas Norwegian and Swedish are the evil stepsisters, Danish is the evil stepmother and I guess Icelandic would be the cat. The same could be said for Hungarian in Eastern Europe with Polish, Czech, Slovak and Russian. These languages only have each other, so let's see which is better, the strong sharp Finnish or the unique fresh Hungarian. Hope you enjoy :D

Snow White: I like them both, but Hungary does it better! Cinderella: Due to a very disappointing voice from Hungary, the pretty Finnish version wins! Aurora: Kerstei Ingrid is my second favorite Aurora! She sounds gorgeous! So she wins! Ariel: Both are strange, but Hungary wins! Belle: I like Hungary a little better! Jasmine: Finnish is such a good fit! Pocahontas: I like both, but Hungarian wins! Esmeralda: Finnish is slightly more tolerable! Megara: Such sass on Finnish! Mulan: I adore the Hungarian version! Tiana: So hard to choose. Finnish wins! Rapunzel: I just love her voice in Finnish! Merida: I think Hungary does a little better! Anna: I adore the Hungarian version! Elsa: Finnish is better due to emotion! Finnish: 7 Hungarian: 8 It all came down to Belle, as I am not a fan of either voice. Hungary wins!

Oh, thank you so much (cause i'm Hungarian) :D Sometimes, you surprised me, especially in Ariel's voice, i saw much ranking, and they always put her in the last places, and i was so sad, but you :D But in Mulan i was sad, because it's one of my favorite singer, Csilla is amazing, and i love her so much so... But Heidi is also very good, but... I just grown up, in she's voice :D And oh my Gosh, Pocahontas...AMAZING job, i just can't.... Anna is amazing

I have rethought some of my choices in my mulan ranking, because I have always known I liked Csilla more than Heidi so if I ever remake this video, Csilla would get the point :)

I dont know any of those languages. But i like the Hungarian dubs more because i feel like theyre more "energetic" i guess. I think the Finnish dubs sound pretty "plain" because in the Finnish language are lot of the same vowels or sounds like o, u or i. So i think that makes them sound "plain". This is only my oppinion so please dont hate me for it :D But I still love both of the countries Finnland and Hungary! Id like to visit both of those countries someday! I'm glad you like some Finnish voices :) I prefer Finnish dubs, but I like some of Hungarian dubs ;) Surprise to me, when I see you like Katja as Elsa, she is lovely and perfect :3 And ofc I'm glad you like Laura as Tiana and Meg, Heidi as Mulan and Maria as Rapunzel :* Well, I love Anna as Cinderella, but I know, It's your opinion :)

Rina Emilyh Well, I do think Finnish voices are pretty good, but what I love most is the language, its sounds are so natural and pretty, I really enjoy it :)

Actually, I like very few of the Finnish dubbing, they mostly annoys me (even though I love the language). So I would give more points to the Hungarian dubbings. (And you spelled a lot of names of the Hungarian singers wrong. Please pay attention more.)

Wow Leonardo I disagree almost with everything... When I wanted Hungarian to win you let Finnish win and visa versa. I only ones I agreed with are: Snow White, Aurora, Jasmine, Rapunzel & Anna...

Amber Basti Yes, but all of those I can agree with. I san see why you would let Finnish Cinderella, Ariel and Belle win, the Hungarian versions are pretty weird. With Pocahontas, Esmeralda and Mulan, it was a very close call for all of them. Megara, Tiana and Elsa are just a matter of different taste, I guess. Oh, well :D

I love the description of Finnish in comparison to Danish/Norwegian/Swedish and Icelandic! Especially with Icelandic being the cat/pet!! I did think of doing a comparison of these 2 languages, but I'm working on remaking rankings atm :) I agree with some, and disagree with others. Great video as usual! I can't wait to see your ranking of Anna's voices!

Wow,it was interesting! Thank you for do this! :) I'm Hungarian,and i'm happy that you kinda like Marika Oszvald as Ariel, i love her. :) I don't really care much about Szonja Oroszlán, and Éva Pap, but i just adore Ingrid Kertesi as Aurora. :) I'm pretty neautral about Judit Kocsis, i like her in the low notes,but after a while she becames annoying. I love both Ulla's and Kata's Jasmine, but i prefer a little bit more Ulla. I adore Anna Udvarias, she's my favorite Hungarian voice

haha.....I started to disagree from the beginning itself. Hungarian Cindy, is cool, but I like the composed and sincere sounds of Anna's in comparison. I think Finnish is a 'by far' winner for me as Cinderella, Belle [I agree Mervi's kinda too stylized & annoying, but Kocsis is just not good enough!] & Brave soloist. While Hungary totally wins for me as Aurora & probably as Elsa too. Rest: it's difficult, both countries have their pro's and cons! XD

rishabhrox1 I don't know about Anna's Cindy, I can never get a grasp of her, sometimes when I listen to her I like her, but it's not that interesting, and incredibly forgettable, unlike Hungarian Cindy (who ironically I can't remember the name from right now XD) Same goes for Mervi, but with Saara, she just sounds like a bad Maria impersonator (again, much better with Anna). I agree with Aurora, and not so much with Elsa, but c'est la vie. I agree, there are many pro's and con's for these dubs!!

+Nekita Rui Sadly, I don't make this type of rankings anymore because they take a REALLY long time to edit, and I'd much rather talk about the voices individually. Polish vs. Russian is a really interesting idea though, I love both dubs and it would be a great match-up. If you want, I can give you the ones that would win, though it might take a while :)

Crtaći -- Srpski i Hrvatski I don't make these videos that much anymore because they take a looooong time to make and I'd rather just make separate rankings for both. I actually made a ranking of all these voices (including Slovene) in one video, so you can see there which one I liked better :)

I saw that, I commented it, but I'll love to see on Serbian/Croatian ranking. :D

Well, there are very few Serbian dubs, and honestly Croatia also didn't dub all the princesses, so it wouldn't be that long anyway, so I'm not gonna make it anytime soon, sorry :)

I always thought that Szilvia's vibrato is similar to Nikolett's!I guess you're not a fan of their type of vibrato,that's why you don't like either of them ? BTW,nice description about those two languages

SuperSelina1993 Mmm, not that you mention it, they do sound very similar! Szilvia isn't the worst, I think her attitude fits Meg, and Nikolett has a nice note here and there, but I don't like their vibrato, you're right, they just annoy me. And, thank you so much :)

Leonardo Ayala I recently got the DVD. I loved hearing Mary Costa again. I liked the French version, but the Spanish and (don't know why it was added) Portuguese version weren't very impressive. Still one of my favorite movies!

I was actually going to let Mervi win against Judit, but I listened to them again and I thought the point had to go to Judit. But I love Finnish dubs (the male dubs are much better btw) and I love the language

But expect these...Hungarian version are better. |: and don't kill me, but i hate the Finnish Elsa. I don't like the Hungarian Elsa too...but the finnish..her voice is fake.. :/ that's all. But it's my opinion..:D
