Rewatched this and took my own notes. It makes so much more sense to me that it did last year. I am really digging into the cases of everything now. The patterns are much more evident to me now. Thanks so much for such a useful lesson.

Дякую за відео. Мені було би цікаво узнати про регіональні відміни та акценти української мови. На приклад, як мова у вашому місті відрізняється от мови у Львові і Чернігові.

Here's a class idea: all about question words, including declensions for those that decline, and prefixes or suffixes added to question words (for example: десь). Thanks (and apologies if the class already exists).

That is an interesting idea, I don't have a video like this yet. Thank you!

@@LetsLearnUkrainian I have a big fat book of grammar now (Routledge Comprehensive Grammar) and I'm beginning to get the impression that there are several groups of very useful words that come from question words.

Hi, I have a question. I tried translating "their youngest child" into the instrumental case but it didn't make sense. Do you know why and the solution?
@AWomanWhoReads4 жыл бұрын
Їхня наймолодша дитина - their youngest child. Instrumental will be (ким?) - їхньою наймолодшою дитиною ☺

@@AWomanWhoReads the question was їх молодша дитина which is why I got confused about the translation Sorry for not specifying

@@ansah412 no problem! The thing is, their (whose? - чия?) - їхня. It is a possessive pronoun. It's not correct to say їх дитина. Їх means them (кого? - їх, accusative or genitive case of вони). Unfortunately, its a common mistake that native speakers make. So, the correct way is їхня наймолодша дитина and the Instrumental will be the one I wrote in my previous comment. Guess, the task you got was faulty :(
