Personal Ranking: Baltic Languages

By 'baltic' I mean 'Baltic region' - I included Estonian because firstly I wanted to pad out the ranking instead of only having like 8 slots, and second because I thought it would be fairer to Estonian dubs to throw them in here than with Finnish where they'd likely be outclassed.

Beautiful video as ever! I don't really have any strong opinions on the voices here other than loving Estonian Nala and Elsa and disliking Estonian Tiana! The rest are sort of so-so to me, and I remember from your Rapunzel ranking you're a fan of Lithuanian!

You know, it's funny, even though we have basically the exact same opinions for all of the Estonian singers, we seem to have the exact opposite ideas of Lithuanian and Latvian, haha! Well, okay, Zane is a far worse Rapunzel than, well basically anything really, and the Lithuanian Anna is a bit better than Latvian Anna, so I'll give that, but for Elsa, these places would probably be switched exactly, and I think Zane's Tiana is just amazing, probably the "best" performance in the Baltic oeuvre imo. Totally called first place, it was inevitable, but ever since I watched your Rapunzel ranking (the old one from your previous account) I've begun to appreciate her much more ^^

YES Lithuanian Rapunzel :D I love her to death, she's so cute, innocent, sincere, lovely, fitting... I don't understand how she can be so unloved :/

OK, your comment on Girmante has actually made someone in our KZbins group offended, kinda bad actually.... :/ And for the rank, absolutely no surprise, except Jurga Sediyukte; I personally never enjoyed her and never saw anything folksy in her voice lol; quoting you here: 'the annoying sounds of slavic languages passed through a grinder, so all that remains is dead repressed sounds of Jurga's lament'....

I didn't think I liked her but apparently I kinda liked her sound when I listened to it here. I wasn't all that familiar with the Baltic tianas before. I had thought Zane was terrible but she's actually a pretty good Tiana, just not a good Rapunzel at all. also lel I don't have patience for people who get offended over nothing.

You did a mix of linguistics and geography: the Baltic are only Lithuanian and Latvian languages , but Estonian l. belongs to the Finnic branch of the Uralic languages family (e. g. Finnish, Hungarian, Samoyedic etc. languages) . Lithuanian and Latvian languages are related to the most of other European, Asian, and Indian languages which are of Indo- European languages family (e. g. German, English, France, Greek, Polish, Armenian, Persian, Hindi etc.). Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania are the 3 Baltic states, so your video might be called "Languages of the 3 Baltic states" ESTONIAN is neither Baltic nor an Indo-European language.

Ed1974Lt In the description I said "by Baltic I mean 'Baltic region' not 'Baltic family'". I included Estonian because otherwise I'd have a measly 7 voices to rank, and I'd need to later do an Estonian ranking with only 4 voices in it.

Ranee L MacIntosh Name of this video is a key-word: if people want to know something about Baltic languages, in youtube they find this video. Minority of them will read description, and they'll be misinformed.
