I can't properly express with words how much I love this cover 😭 You sound so longing and hopeful... Nearly teary at some point, yet as flowy and timeless as Mayumi. I would say ethereal is the word that best describes it! Bright, clear and smooth as the sea waves, with the tiniest fogginess of an early morning on the beach. Aaaa that was beautiful hehe 😌😂 I can't wait for more of these! (Finnish 90 I believe will make it into this new series 👀) Also I would say you fit Halle really well! As well as you fit animated Ariel! + That "love to explore that shore up aboveeeeeeee" part felt like spreading nutella on a toast omg soooo beautiful and buttery 😭 WILL YOU MAKE THIS WITH CASTILIAN TOO? Since the Spanish version used the latin spanish lyrics 🥲 just asking

IT hadn't occured to me to do Castilian but once I've done Brazilian, Finnish, and German, I might tack on Hungarian and Castilian as those lyrics were very significantly modified since the old version Thanks for your long, kind words btw, Japanese is overall the best Ariel between the two films as Mayumi and Erika are both absolute faves for me; Erika is one of the only 2023 Ariels I think truly unites the old ariel with the new ariel and makes it feel like the same person on some level.

@@raneemacintosh6842 I really agree on what you said about Erika! Her, the Canadian and the Romanian singers are the ones that truly encapsulated the essence of animated Ariel imo! Can't wait to listen to your following covers! Btw I'd love it if you participated in this year's Princess Contest! You'd nail many of the characters, I'm sure! (Anna, Luisa or Chang-e come to mind right now)

@@ALEX.GARCIA_DUBZ I had every intention of doing that, and with my voice resting up on vacation I should be able to !! I really hated the Canadian and Romanian voices of 1989 Ariel so admittedly both of them are gonna be an improvement regardless

Since the 1989 version (Ute Lemper) and 1998 version (Naomi van Dooren) have different lyrics, and the 2023 version uses the 1998 lyrics, German will come up eventually!
