I'm a former shoe sales person. I completely agree on only needing 2-5 shoes for each season that are appropriate for our lifestyles.

I would love a video on year round wardrobe staples! I love the idea of having a base wardrobe and then adding pieces for different seasons

I started a capsule wardrobe a few months ago and I'm using an app to add everything. I must say that I love the statistics that it gives me! Making new outfits has become like a personal challenge. It's been almost 3 months and I'm still adding new outfits!!

Loving your videos! Would be interested in a video where you start with basics like a T-shirt and jeans, then give a few examples of different items to add on to experiment with different styles (adding a leather jacket for an edgier look vs. a vintage cardigan for a more vintage look, etc.). You mentioned this approach in your first building a capsule wardrobe video, and it seems so simple but I hadn’t really heard it put that way before, would love to see more! I’ve got plenty of basics, and always looking for ideas to jazz up what I already have in new ways. Thanks for the great inspiration :)

Your advice on shopping your closet is spot-on. Any time I start to feel a little bored and find myself online shopping, I try to steer myself into my closet to basically play dress up. This helps me get excited about what I already have and helps me plan new outfits.

Also-would love to see you do a style me preppy! How to incorporate preppy style without looking like you’re headed to the country club! I love polo shirts (anything with a collar really) but I have a more edgy style.

SAME. I like preppy and timelessness mixed with edgy modern touches as well. I don't want it to look costumey or forced like the clothes are wearing me, you know?

I completely agree! I’m never sure how to do preppy without looking overly pretentious or 40 years older than everyone else. (I’m in H.S.) That’s a great video idea!

Hi Emma! I’m a new subscriber and I’ve really been loving your past videos. You do great work! I’d love to see you do a video on developing your style from the ground up. I have someone in my life who has asked me for help in defining her style and creating a new wardrobe. She’s recently gone through some major life and body changes, and she mostly only owns leggings and baggy tee shirts which she doesn’t like. I’d love some tips for getting inspired when you’re starting from scratch! Thank you!

Thank you so much for tackling my question. I think it is also helpful to count all your wardrobe and face with the number of clothing you already have, I was really surprised by the numbers. I think I will try no-buy for couple of months and then set myself limited monthly budgets for clothing. I've never used Pinterest as a style inspiration, so I will definitely try that. Thanks once again :)

When it comes to shoes...I have now gone to only wearing minimal/ barefoot shoes...'good supporting shoes', orthotics and insoles do more damage than help...we were not designed to wear shoes that have a tapered shoe box/ heels/ cushioning/ thick rigid soles or toe spring. The ways shoes are made are the problem. For more information watch videos from North West Foot and Ankle on KZbin.... I recommend the brand Vivobarefoot...they are the most stylish. And I use the 'correct toes' appliance to help reverse the damage/ deforming from years of wearing conventional shoes. I had back, hip knee problems and the start of a bunion....all the pain has gotten much better and it's only been a few months.and I felt the improvement right away.

Love these videos! Do you think you could do a style me video on a romantic/vintage/boho dress style?? Not sure if that makes sense but I hope so!!

Yes! The romantic style has been highly requested and will be coming soon. I also want to dive further into mixing styles. So glad you enjoyed this video!

I keep my capsule wardrobe in my note pad on my phone. I keep track of what I wear and don't wear those pieces I don't wear either get put back for another season or I donated to a local charity. Yes I only shop every 3 months for a few pieces to refresh my wardrobe. I keep a list on my phone of the items I need . I started this cause one I had way to many clothes and nothing to wear I just bought random stuff and two we went from two incomes to one. I wanted to save money. Ive been doing capsules for two years and I will never go back ever !!!

Thank you, Emma. I rejoiced at hearing you say that browns and olive are your favourite colours for clothes. I do not wear black or jeans. Hope you are able to help with your videos.
