I have a video request: when I was younger I experienced asmr when my school's librarian would sit us on the carpet and read a picture book to us. these books had this plastic crinkly jacket covering them and the librarian had these wonderful long painted nails she would tap the book with. on top of that all some girl would sometimes play with my hair - one of my first memories of asmr I was in heaven :)

And as for the tingles thing, the feeling closest to tingles I've ever felt from asmr is the type that I get from the ear to ear whispers/sounds. They often seem to travel down my spine really quickly and if I haven't watched a lot of asmr recently, it'll be enough to make me jerk about in response lol. I usually get some form of this when getting a haircut when the hair cutting electric razor thing goes near my ears or down near the back of my neck, although I've learnt to keep still with that because I don't want to ruin my hair haha

+MissBluey see, most of the disadvantages of smoking marijuana can be easily avoided by just taking small breaks of like a week or so between periods of heavy smoking. during the time your lungs can clear themselves out of any debris or unwanted smoke in there. and since marijuana is not addictive it's really easy to stop when you want.

I had found out about asmr a few weeks ago and listened to a bunch of different artists and was pretty into it. I thought I was the only one who got the ‘tingles,’ remembering the first time was from a teacher doing something nice for me, in a gentle way. I learned about you, Maria from watching the Follow This buzzfeed episode. Looking back I’m so bothered that the ‘journalist’ (yes, using the word loosely) was trying to turn asmr into some negative thing calling it ‘artificial intimacy’ as though she was trying to get a rise out of you. I think the whole point of asmr is when someone you don’t know does something nice for you when they don’t have to. I hated that girl but I’m so glad she brought me to your channel. I tend to only experience the highest intensity ASMR. I've had ASMR tingles that race down my spine or only around my back and head which I consider medium intensity. High intensity for me is full waves in a variety of places in my body the way maria.exe explained and it usually lasts anywhere between 10 seconds to 3 minutes or so. My favourite trigger is hairdryer sounds. I love your work Maria. Keep on doing what you do.

I swear the page turning/caressing sounds in the first few minutes of this video give me tingles, and NOTHING else does. That is the greatest sound ever!! I've replayed the first 20 or so minutes of this video a million times.. Finally, welcome back, and finally back to normal asmr. Personally I don't want to see microphones, i-devices or be indoctrinated into crystals. To me professional asmr videos should simply be a one on one experience between two people in different settings and close rapport. There is so much buzz and hurry and agitation everyday, it's a treasure to have quiet, thoughtful, and pleasant asmr times I don't want to say old-fashioned asmr but actually yes I do want to say old-fashioned asmr.

I, for example, love unboxing, and listen about crystals, and especially the book sounds, and lots of other things Maria is doing; for me "favorites" videos are really my favorite. I'm more or less type b. I love when u say your "head" I love all your words you choose. I listen to you 99% of the time. When I become immune it's literally makes me mad so I move on to others whom I also love "it's blitz" tho I cannot wait to get back to ur videos. Just for your information, not that i condone using drugs ;): Speed: Numbs tingles entirely Cocaine: Numbs tingles entirely Weed: Increases tingles a bit (depends on the weed) XTC: Makes tingles a much more intense sensation MDMH: Same as XTC Magic mushrooms: Makes tingles the best thing ever. Just from personal experience when i went through my "experimental" phase in life years ago. But don't do drugs, and if you have to, do it responsibly or use a buddy system.

Maria, I’m sure you get requests all the time, but one thing I’ve noticed you don’t have an entire video based around (unlike other popular triggers) is page turning. I’m super sensitive to crinkled page turning, to the sounds of writing, and this video is my #1 watched video of ASMR let alone of yours for this very reason! The note binder, page turning, writing, - it’s so therapeutic for me! ESPECIALLY in that white, loud, and starched shirt! PLEASE make a video of just that! It's because as you fall asleep, your body's temperature falls. So when you're cooler, your body is relaxing because it thinks it's bed time. That's why it's easier to fall asleep when you're a little cooler as well, and why it's so hard to sleep when it's hot.

I GOT MY FIRST EVER TINGLES IN THIS VIDEO I'M SO HAPPY! Although I'm not sure what they were, they felt medium-ish but they ran down my spine, not in my head.. Anyone know? its just different for everyone. i've had tingles since before i can even remember and i don't necessarily always get them in my head, but can be feeling them in multiple other parts of my body (my upper back is a pretty common place for them). i also tingle so much sometimes i twitch which has led to some embarrassing moments when i was a kid and didn't know how to explain to people why i was twitching

I love ASMR and aside from Baba the cosmic barber, your channel really got me into it. I'm definitely a Type A (even though I'd rather have an external stimulus) and I get high sensations. Like comforting electricity is running through my body (usually starting with a build up in the back of my head and an explosive release throughout my body). My biggest trigger is definitely whispering/softly spoken commentary, as well as "nice sounding" voices. Thank you for all your videos Maria, you have really helped/are helping the ASMR community get attention!
