Thanks for this video. Because you were very respectful and empathetic with Justin's life, and you analyzed his life in a more empathic and analytical way, you not only saw a video and gave a diagnosis of him as I have seen in other videos where they do not analyze more of the video, and they draw conclusions from Justin's personality without looking at the context, what was going on at the time, why he was anxious or sad, or angry. I was wondering if you could analyze people with personalities that are often "not expected" because of, for instance, gender, and are therefore often mistyped/misunderstood? (for instance, female entp, male infp, female istp etc.) I'm pretty new to all this stuff so I'm not sure if I'm saying anything weird right now, but I'd be curious to see how, for instance, gender might play a role in how people portray themselves and are portrayed by others.

Fantastic analysis per usual! I'd like to mention that Justin Bieber is left-handed, which is neurologically associated with "variable brain organization" - basically, the way a lefty's brain is wired can be "less strict". A task that generates activity in one area for most people can generate activity in unexpected or dispersed places for a southpaw. Sometimes left-handed people have stronger right-hemisphere connections, and I see this so much in JB. The right hemisphere is about understanding things holistically, the vague impression, the general picture, the overall mood. To me, this relates to Justin's musical gifts - he learns by osmosis, it seems, unable to explain how he picked up piano or guitar or drums. (Not incidentally, the right hemisphere is where someone's sense of rhythm typically lives; think of the classic clip of Justin drumming at age 2.) He picks things up with remarkable ease, yet is not very skilled at left-hemisphere things, like breaking down the details or thinking linearly. This shows up subtly but consistently in his lyrics when he reverses concepts in a way that feels truly accidental: "it's like pouring fire on propane". P.S. If you're left-handed (or if it runs in your family), you might find the book "Right Hand, Left Hand: The Origins of Asymmetry in Brains, Bodies, Atoms and Cultures" by Chris McManus interesting. As a lefty, it really shifted how I saw my brain/personality.

when i was undiagnosed with ADHD and unmedicated (it was really awful), i was ENFP, for years. i would always do the test heh. i’m an INFJ now, older, medicated, and i did a lot of looking into it, and it really aligns. i definitely identified with ENFP at the time, and i didn’t anymore. it may sound far fetched... but he has ADHD and he mentioned in an interview he doesn’t take medication for it... so many of the things at the beginning were ADHD traits, overwhelmingly! and ADHD completely shapes your personality, undoubtedly. my entire life changed so much upon being medicated, and getting a bit older. no more impulsivity or irrationality, or being controlled by my emotions. kinda the opposite now.

I've read that generally MBTI types do not change throughout our lives, however that got me wondering if they could change because of more serious mental health issues. If so, I believe that it probably happened to me as well. Do you think that's possible?

@@Ventynine well this was all pre adulthood, specifically, 17 & under. my personality was still developing as it was - the brain's neuroplasticity doesn't really "set" til about 25 i think, after that point our personality is pretty set in stone. i know that with personality disorders they can only be formally diagnosed in adulthood, and getting therapy during teen years is crucial as a preventative measure. so its likely past 25 that MBTI types wouldn't change. i do definitely think mental health issues would affect the personality if it's over a long time or drastic enough, 100%. but i think we have a core type underneath that is our natural distilled form? just my opinion but i think the science backs it up, should defs research it :)

Hey Tbh Justin Bieber rather strikes me as an ISFP ( possibly type 7w6 ) as he seems to have a very well developed Ni at least from what I understood following my researches regarding Observation functions, ( granted he also seems much more introverted and loner than the Se doms I have seen but that's beyond the point and not very relevant lol) . The way he has been carrying himself in the last few years + the more abstract vibes in his music videos and more symbol orientated lyrics ( especially " Yummy" ) seems to make sense and tie up with the fact tertiary functions tend to develop strong somewhere around the mid 20's. IIRC What do you think of this possibility ? 🤔

Sorry to respond 2 years later but I think Justin's an ISFP too. That's probably why fame was so hard on him and he actually had to quit the rest of his tour once for mental health reasons, and why he seems to value his faith and personal values now more than anything.
