I’ve been studying this for a year literally and this is the first time all these concepts have come together for me, thank you so much. Subbed

Finally, someone who explains this! Thank you. I just recently picked up drawing and was quite frustrated that I couldn't find anyone that could fully explain all these concepts together (cone of vision, vanishing points to achieve certain shapes, distortion and 3 point perspective).

I took some perspective by Marshall Vandruff, he never explained this concept and it took me days to realize it, and here you are proving what I have learned by my own is correct. Thank you!

Several videos dance around this concept but few ever quite finish explaining it. Thank you for doing so, and in such an easy to grasp way. Thanks! & CheerZ! edit: Right! just got the idea about using something other than a 90 degree angle - Excellent!

Didnt know of a good way to reach you. But David Finch gave you a shout out in his video today 1:24:32 / 1:26:33. He referred to you as a phenomenal inker if I'm remembering correctly. So now that even the greats are saying it you should feel it and own it as well. You're an inspiration to all. Love you man and keep doing what you do

Wonderful explanation! It would be cool to see an animation with VPS moving around so we can see the distrotion better but maybe that would be a bit much of work ^^

For the 3 point perspective should the angles for the triangle always be 60degrees ?

@robert marzullo can you explain how to determine the cone of vision when the focal point is not in the very center of the picture plane? thank you

Great video. But in 3pt perspective, the 3rd or should always be in lin with station point( whether upshot or downshot) ? For example, if my station point is one third from the left, so the third point should be directly above or below that SP? If yes then how much above or below?
@retromograph3893

Question: with 3 point perspective, you don't use a station point? .......... or is 2 point perspective + station point actually 3 point perspective on steroids? .......... if not, how do you rotate (in up / down axis) a box in 3 point perspective?

I love how everyone just puts the station point in an arbitrary distance away from the CVP and never explains it.

Omg do not put the drawing in the middle of the page please and some stuff can be Corp in so it can show an interesting detail etc etc. Now are you using a mouse in your pic? Chrome book, windows 🐵🙉🙈 Mac???

Don't tell my professor that you did do the drawing in the middle of the page 😅🙈🙉🐵
