I never stopped grinning while watching this. Listening to Simon work the game mechanics with sheer, childlike, innocent delight...I miss that feeling. Not many puzzle mechanics surprise me anymore, I've played Portal too much.

They probly use the raster to detect the blue pixels and orange pixels and that's how the base of their mechanic works. It is pretty damn impressive.

What I think it is, is that Simon is really good at seeing simple to moderate connections, but has a tough time with complex ones. Lewis on the other hand is so used to looking for complex connections, that he constantly overlooks simple or moderate ones.

It is more than just thinking about a problem, it plays on the differences between people's brains. Some people are exceptional at spacial conundrums that seemingly lack concrete rules, while others excel at mechanical problems with clearly defined parameters for solution. It is pretty neat to see how personalities may be reflective of how easily one addresses these puzzles: inex. the straight laced Lewis methodically trying to solve, while the carefree approach of Simon breezes through. .

"How do you design a game like this" I'd be curious to ask the programmer(s) if they at least know someone who doesn't have depth perception. I've grown up with eyes that don't work together "properly" so I'm quite familiar with this sort of mechanic as I used to do this sort of thing with a laser pointer IRL. I honestly never imagined it could be turned into a video game like this though, lol

Simon failed to get his degree on nuclear physics. On an episode of YoGPod it was said that he didn't graduate from college. Lewis had claimed that he got a Master's degree on chemistry, also from YoGPoD. Still, this series had been really surprising, showing just how smart Simon is.

I like this game since it shows how intelligent people can be. Being smart isn't about memorization even though it's a very small part of it. You need to figure out how the change of perspective works in order to get through the game and once you figure it out, you'll propably breeze through the game. Simon learned pretty quickly to use different perspectives to build the stage around the player character. Lewis in the other hand couldn't see the solutions and was amazed at how well simon did.

This game is just epic. It's one of those types of games that kinda mind f*cks you a little bit in each level. I love how this game reminds me of portal, I mean the colors blue and orange with the idea that every level is a whole new puzzle its self. The way the game works when it comes to The coding is mostly all about perspective view. Heck its the name of the game. When you brake it down it's all about 2 layers (3D and 2D) with the 3D layer have 2 layers of its own turning on and off, with having the faces of the blue and orange 3D object to interact with the 2D layer by helping it adjust 2D box like shapes bast on the view of the camera. It's quite simple to figure out, when you give it some thought.

Thanks for your concern, kind sir/madam ; ) I don't mean to brag but my old gaming desktop uses XP (nostalgia) and it handles Minecraft in 64bit textures. It's not my only machine but it is my favorite one and more often than not, it handles what I throw at it. And fyi XP is still the most widely used PC OS in the world.
