I think this game needs three things 1) More levels 2) More abilities or dimension rips (the guy has 5 fingers, five abilities?) 3) The "other" dimension needs better graphics Aside from that the game is wonderful and the ideas from Digipen are just outstanding.

Thus the word "essentially". For most of the people that tried it originally it was free, because it was came packaged with Halflife 2, the extra episodes and the sequel to the extremely popular mod TF. We bought orange box for these titles and got portal for free on the side.

It essentially was. It was put in the orange box, which contained Halflife 2, all story extensions and Team fortress 2. Noone bought that pack for portal, it was just a free bonus to us.

Did you guys know that the building in this game is actually an infirmary, and the man that you play as is trying to find out what happened to the place at the time his grandfather was here. The reason he wants to know is because it gave him the ability he has now, which is the time travel bubble things.

Yes, everyone knows the paradox situation that disproves conventional time travel, but this isn't time travel, this is opening a parallel dimension that happens to be in the past

Don't wanna be a picky nerd but Parallel Universes are already created based on probable outcomes (Meaning One Outcome Runs Parallel To Another) but events based on the moving of an object through Time is a Tangent Universe, some say they collapse after just over 28 days unless that object is returned, that's probably not true though, this also works with time travel (It's Likely It's Called A Tangent Universe Because It's Like When Going Off On A Tangent, It Creates Something Different) Big Fan

6:35 basically proves you aren't actually opening a rift in time. When you created the new universe where the key disappears, you should still be able to make another rift in time where the key is still there since it still existed in your own timeline. If you would make another rift into where the key used to be, it's not there. This means that you open a rift into a parallel universe where everything happens later than in your universe.

Lewis, while you could look at it as interacting and/or creating a parallel universe, you could also take the point of view that the universe that you are currently in is a one with a circular timeline, and thus it was destined that you would do all that you have done now and that influenced the past which led to what you are doing now.

Interesting puzzle concept. Basically it's the same as Dimension Jumper. But with a story around it. I know of a older game; Stranded II And it just occurred to me, Simon's voices are almost perfect with the characters from the game.

There's no paradox with the key. After you took the key, no one did open the door until you did. When you travel to the past, that happened already. Same with any other items you take through time.
