This movie - I have loved for a while now but this is helping me unwind from the "anxiety" I feel from world events. So relaxing!

I just noticed : men are dressed (covered ) with warm clothes capes while women have simple and light dresses ; women keep their hats even when they are indoor .

The guy who plays Cpt. Benwick reminds me of David Tennant.

It's interesting how flighty and silly the Musgrove sisters are in this production. They grate on my nerves to the extreme. Maybe the result of being coddled too much? I doubt that Austen would approve of such airheads as these.

Surely the ladies would have respoded with a small curtesy upon introduction to each other.. and the gentleman would have bowed (only one does bow that I can see)

I thought that as well, still it was a bit of a tight squeeze in there, still, proper manners must be maintained, quite right.

I'm afraid you can't make allowances for loneliness, many have suffered with that down the ages with that, and a lot more poorer than Mary, she at least has husband and children and some degree of comfort plus a social circle of sort's, as we see above. Loneliness? I don't think she knows the meaning of the word.
