I loved this version of Persuasion back in '95 and I still favor this version over all others. I just can't get over how Anne and Captain Wentworth were brilliantly portrayed. Excellent, excellent actors! I'll always cherish this!

oh, now I know where to go to get my Wentworth fix! Just re-watched this movie and loved it! When I first watched it I really liked it, but I didn't appreciate it as much as I do now. Too young to appreciate the story of lost love and understated longing. The leads are terrific in every nuance and quiet moment, every small gesture and look.Smouldering. wow. My heart was right there with Anne. Wentworth was both sexy and heartbreaking. "I am half agony, half hope". sigh. Ciaran Hinds, wow!

This song is absolutely beautiful. It grabs me from the first note! Love it. And this has become my favourite Jane Austen movie - I like it better than Pride and Prejudice! How did that come about, I know not but it has! And I love Pride & Prejudice! The book, P&P is still my favourite of the books but this is my favourite movie!!

I like this and 2007 version of persuasion. Both the actress who played Anne Elliot were great. You really can feel their emotion, what they're feeling specially when they look at Captain Wentworth. I also watched the 1971 version but it wasn't good.
