So pleased Perthes is being taken seriously . I had my perthes hip operated on in 1976 aged 5. Im now 50 an suffering because I was left 4cm short for 40yrs. It was a case of.."oh she has a slight limp as she had Perthes!!.as sadly nothing was really known about it. Two back ops 1st 14yrs an a2nd a yr ago... TRHR 4.5yrs ago and awaiting a lower femoral osteotomy this year plus left hip an knee going now due to weight bearing on L side as R side always been weak. So I would like to say Thankyou to you all for helping our future perthes kids....🙏

I filled in the blank m37 right hip. Long term medical plan on fk weight management is needed for people with perthes. Wish i could go bk and stop myself from running around as a kid teen.
