Peter Weller is the actors name.
@kyrozudesoya18293 жыл бұрын
@@Mr_T_Badger Yeah, Rob Bottin and Paul Verhoven went back and forth on the design and it took too long and eventually both men got pissed at each other, and Bottin finally finished the design of the suit. In the meantime Weller was practicing mime with an instructor and the idea was to be as fluid and snakelike as possible. But when he finally got the suit it wouldn't allow for that, and they had to actually remove parts of the suit to just facilitate any movement at all. Weller had to take a few days to go back to the instructor, and the instructor told him to ditch the old idea and instead make it very staccato and bird-like with the movement. They filmed the movie mostly in Texas during the summer, and he was absolutely miserable in the suit. The man was an absolute trooper.

RoboCop was a film that in my opinion was deceptively complex for its time. Murphy as the titular character is the embodiment of justice and order: stately, restrained and totally incorruptible, he wields society's definition of law as an aegis that protects him from external harm. Criminals in the film struggle to even scratch RoboCop's metallic body and his tireless pursuit of what we consider right can never be escaped and only briefly delayed. Yet this nigh-invulnerability came at a horrific cost for Murphy, a kind of pain and trauma few people could endure and even fewer would willingly submit to in order to become a juggernaut and paragon of due process and defending the innocent. More complicating still is the exact nature of the plot. The ostensibly evil Omnicorp meant to use Murphy as a weapon, but the hero died in what was initially nothing but ordinary crime. Without their amoral ambition and limitless resources, Murphy would never have been resurrected as a cyborg to avenge his own murder and expose the antagonists as what they were. It's both pro and anti-capitalist at the same time. The film is both inspiring and subversive at once, and a real treasure. The remake is forgettable garbage.

@Retro Kid they do not make movies like this any more because it has to be marketed for kids from the get go, Also modern film studios struggle to merge darkness with humour and make it work. They cater for a generation of kids(who lack imagination and can not suspend their disbelief long enough to just except the movie. like instead of just hey they made Robocop...they need 45 minutes of dull explanation about exactly how it is possible to make it happen. They tend to miss 9 out of 10 of subtle directions of stage play as they are usually looking at their phone during the film. so it then becomes hard for them to understand the film and they get bored and want to watch something else. It was the same in batman the dark knight ...instead of just excepting hey its batman he has loads of vehicles and weapons the film needed a huge portion devoted to explaining how Morgan freeman's character was exploiting the stock market and the industrial war complex to buy military hard ware for brucewayne. it could have been done in a sentence like in robocop " you got access to military hardware?.. ."we practicality are the military "
