Peru classifies non-binary and intersex people as 'mentally ill'

Sky News host Liz Storer says Peru has decided to “classify” non-binary and intersex people as "mentally ill”.
Ms Storer explained the government decided on the classification to relieve pressure on their mental health budget.
“When you use that argument, it actually seems common-sensical,” she said.

Yeah intersex would as example be someone with x and y chromosomes but y cromosome doesn't work so the grow up as a girl and find out later when they don't get any menstruation that they have actually x and y chromosomes and are infertile. That's a medical condition and not and identity or mental health condition. Though it's possible there are people who claim to be intersex when they don't even have a clear intersex condition.

I think all surgeries done to healthy tissue on young people under 25, whether it be a nose job, breast reduction/enlargement, top or bottom surgery, they should have strict rules on getting therapy for a certain amount of time to deal with any underlying issues and to give the person time to really think about their decision going forward and what it might mean to them. You need to gatekeep this stuff. Its not like joining a karate class where you can try it out for awhile and quit after a few years and move on with your life. These are PERMANENT body and chemical changes. The medical industry has bought every single media corp here in America, and once you get a young person to become trans, you have a patient for LIFE, They will need hormones forever and checkups, surgeries and revisions and more surgeries. You put them on it when theyre young and you have a steady patient for the next 70 years.
