The Liveship Traders is truly a masterpiece! Even if someone doesn't like one of the plot lines--like boats--there's so much else to enjoy about the story. I think it's easily Hobb's best, but Tawny Man is probably my favorite. ot7 always! would love to see more BTS/music recommendations 👀

The Miniaturists reminds me of a video game called The Room: Old Sins. Highly recommend it if the book sounds interesting to you, though it is not the first in the series, so you should probably play the other games first. (I personally played through the games on iOS, but one of the games is a VR title, and I know that most of the series is available through other platforms.)

Even though you can pick up the liveship traders before Farseer, I don't think it's really a good idea! A lot of the reveals and the worldbuilding truly needs the Farseer trilogy to get the correct feel, and certain characters really need the backdrop! Most of what makes the liveship traders so special is how much it builds on what the Farseer trilogy reveals!

Heyy I know you already finished the video, but do you have a book with a super intricate heist? That isn't six of crows or mistborn?

The Miniaturists reminds me of a tamil movie -"yaavarum nalam" .. it also has the same plot line.. where the MC gets a flat in a gated community and he finds out something creepy going on around him.. and the events happening will be telecasted in his TV alone being taking place... the story goes on to how he figures out and solves the mystery

Anyone wants to help a fellow reader out? I have a thing for books with- found family trope with multiple protagonists + morally grey characters with backstories that should completely destroy my heart + a villain so powerful and charming that i should be sorry to watch them die + diverse characters (preferably lgbt+) + witty banter ik it's very specific but I'd take any book rec that has some of these elements :")

Ok, I love your channel but I feel like I have to say two things. One, Ove is pronounced "Ooh-vuh", not "Oh-vay". Think of a New Yorker with a strong accent saying Hoover, "Hoo-vuh". Same with Ove, "Ooh-vuh" with a strong emphasis/stress on "Ooh", and "vuh" being almost an afterthought. Two, Babel is pronounced "Ba-bull", "a" as in "bat", not "Bay-bull", "a" as in "hay". It can be pronounced "Bay-bull" in the U.K., but in this case it isn't. The word comes from the Tower of Babel in the Bible and Josiah uses it as a reference. Another word derived from Babel is "babbling", as in a babbling brook, or, "what are you babbling on about?" Try using the "Bay-bling" pronounciation in those examples, it sounds so weird, lol. If you're still not convinced, here's the author himself saying it - and this is after the host has already said "Bay-bull" several times during the introduction, yet when Josiah gets to speak, he corrects him and says "Ba-bull": kzbin.info/www/bejne/laepm6BjgMeHrpY
